CY usually owns the A's. Of course, a lot of guys do but him especially.

Speaking of defense. Gray has got to want to punch Lowrie in the face and then some right now.....

Jed Lowrie again. Wow.
He made the DP just now but he has got to get that squared away! Last edited by Airdrop01; 04-16-2016 at 07:05 PM. |

To give him a bit of a break, one of the games he threw very well (the 2-0 loss to Syndergaard).

We've been so spoiled bullpen wise the past few years. Soria is nearly killing me. Dude needs to be middle relief. If we are going to assign innings then Hoch, Herrera and Davis get the last three. Duffy was good...hitting 98 with movement....but for the FAAAAAAAAAAAAT pitch to Saltalmacchia.
On the other hand, Herrera was about as nails as humanly possible, ringing up Cabrerra on 3 pitches with bases loaded then getting JD to pop fly out after hitting Vmart. Wade was Wade. |

Does it show the Twins logo there instead of Detroit's on the scoreboard?

It does. I'm guessing the scoreboard guy forgot to change that "block" or whatever you'd call it.

Royals starting pitching has been pretty solid thus far. Young has been shelled twice now, but other than that...
meanwhile, the relief pitching has been shaky. Soria of course has struggled, but so has Duffy. If Duffy cannot get thru 2 innings without giving up a run, he won't work his way into the rotation. Gee might end up being the option there if Young continues to struggle Last edited by Whoofe; 04-22-2016 at 09:44 AM. |

Yeah, I didn't think much of the Royals rotation going into the season, but they have performed better than I expected. Probably another indication that defense matters even if it is hard to quantify sometimes.
The Indians are just an indication than Murphy's Law exists. And that the Royals have intangibles and Cleveland does not. |

I still think the two best teams in the division are the Tribe and Royals. I think it is too early to freak out on anyone (except perhaps CY or Soria but they're two guys...especially Soria, that have always been overachievers to me and that always makes me nervous at any level above high school).
I just wish there was a way to make KC decent in Ootp short of editing. I just think it's clear PECOTA and Zips don't account for athleticism and defense, and are particularly ineffective at projecting those players and teams like the Royals, who are essentially outliers en masse to the "accepted" computer nerd models. |

i get that PECOTA isn't kind to the royals. its just math, so there's nothing illogical about it. I tried making a case in the bugs forum about changing some things, mainly some of the intangiables like personality, but the post was pretty much ignored. *shrug* I guess I have to find out exact pitch speeds to get a change made |

Hopefully he does this all year... Maybe Pecota will like us if Moose hits 40 HR?
