Sad to say an all to familiar start... closer implodes, stupid baserunning & what was it? 1-11 with RISP. Somehow we still won. But man that's about as ugly a win as it can get.

Looking forward to see what Zimmerman looks like on Friday and 3 or 4 ABs for Victor. Hopefully, Wednesday's version of the pen was a little closer to what the norm will be. I have been conditioned to think Tuesday was normal.

Enjoying my free MLB Extra Innings trial. Thinking I may just bite the bullet and get the whole season this year. That being said, it took me all of 4 innings Tuesday night to get sick of Rod Allen. Watched the rest of the game on the Marlins feed. Wow is he awful.

OK, got the Yankee-Tiger game cued up to listen today. I have both Severino and Zimmermann on my fantasy team, so I'm anticipating a 13-10 game. I am interested to see how each pitches, particularly Zimmermann.
Hopefully it is cold to suppress the offenses (fingers crossed). |

Very nice pitching and timely hitting! That made me forget all about Tuesday.

Really, what kind of discount are we talking? I got mad at ESPN during college basketball season and banished from my television. Of course, if you get rid of ESPN on Directv, you also get rid of the MLB Network and Fox Sports Southwest(Astros--and some Rangers, but Tom Grieve is hard to listen to). So, I would only get the TBS Sunday games.

To play Devil's Advocate...I probably tend to have 75% of my mlb.tv usage before Father's Day. I watch a lot early in the year, not so much in the dog days, and pick back up in the last 6 weeks if the Indians are hanging around.
I find the packages are worth it, though I: a) listen to games at work a lot (not everyone can do that) b) get mlb.tv instead of cable, rather than a supplement to cable - easier to justify the $$$ c) don't live in my home town |

Really enjoying Gibby in the booth. Or is that I just enjoy no Rod Allen? Probably both.

Well, what do you know - Buck Farmer still isn't any good.

I am pleased with the start too. Actually, outside of Rodriguez and farmer, the pen looks much better than it's been of late. I really want to see Norris return!

Gee, the Tribe and Tigers both managed to get 4 whole games in this week. Ugh. Indians even have a Monday off day, so 4 games in 8 days. MLB got smart for a while and had Great Lakes teams open in places like LA and TB. I guess the 15-team, always interleague schedule has messed that up for good.
(that said, I did get a sunburn on Opening Day in Cleveland once...probably a record high that day) Hopefully we don't get stuck playing like 32 games in August. ![]() P.S. Look out for Juan Nicasio on Tuesday. His slider is off the hook this year if he can throw it for strikes. He looked strong against the Cards last week.
