Exactly. It's been 12 years since Bartman's incident. The vast majority of fans have moved on from it years ago. Many of the new fans wouldn't even know what it was if the media didn't bring it up all the time. I don't know a single Cubs fan that blames him for anything at this point.

I would be absolutely shocked if Bartman has not been to a game since.

Not long after the whole Bartman thing happened, I went to a Halloween party dressed as Steve Bartman. It was a pretty well attended party and the only person who recognized my costume was the other guy who was dressed as Bartman.

According to some sources, he has not been back to Wrigley since the incident. According to the NY Times "As of 2014, Bartman still lives in Chicago and works for a financial services consulting company. He still declines interviews and, while he is still a Cubs fan, has never returned to Wrigley."

To his credit though, he has refused every offer of making any kind of profit from this. He has turned down every offer to go to a game being paid, & turned down an offer of 6 figures () to appear in a Super Bowl commercial. All he wants is to be left alone. IIRC, in the show "Catching Hell", it was said that Chicago forgives Bartman. It is time for Bartman to forgive Chicago. I think being introduced at a game, and being given a loud, long welcoming, would heal all. It did for Bill Buckner, who just like Bartman, was made the scapegoat for a brutal loss.
