I want to thank all of you who've wished me well. It's a great thing to know people take the time to offer support!

Yesterday, I finally met my oncologist, and he said in no uncertain terms that he was approaching me as a curable case, not just a treatable. While nothing in medicine is a guarantee, this is the most promising news to date. I'm hoping once chemo and radiation are past that I'll be "assigned to Toledo."

The guarantee I do have is that like my family and close friends in the north country, there are a lot of good people on this forum. Thanks so much!

I'm quite pleased to report that my latest CT scan shows no metastatic activity! Chemotherapy begins next week.

Again, thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I'm looking forward to making off the DL before Opening Day!!!

Chemotherapy is no fun. You seem to have kept a very positive attitude during this hard time. That matters. Best wishes going forward.

I've had some fastballs (95+ mph) thrown my way for quite some time but certainly not what you have been through. I apologize that I somehow missed your thread here.
