Noticed the same on pc. With each patch simming individual days takes longer and longer. Also have all leagues on and am in 2021, so that might slow things down possibly over time?

The problem was with stopping a sound clip (that was usually not even playing at the time). If you wish to disable the sound, which should prevent the slowdown, you can do so in the app.cfg file. You can find that if you go to File -> Settings -> Troubleshooting, and click on the "Open folder containing app.cfg".

In that file, you can set the disable_sound to 1, which will disable sounds, but should get your sim speed right back to where it was before.

As mentioned, in the next patch, this will be fixed so that you will certainly not see the slowdown when simming games.

I'm not even going to ask what apples have to do with oranges. Let me just say I understand whacko things like this happening. I thank you for posting that fix.

I confirm (for what it's worth) that this fix does the job.

You might want to consider stickying this for us MAC users.

The squeaky wheel does get the grease and I thank you again.

Just a quick addition that it looks like you have to restart OOTP after making the change (or, find the file directly first and edit before starting). Thanks for finding the work-around!
