My list of little things includes:

1) Updating the manager's history at season end, not on December 31;
2) As someone else said, closer to GAAP financials;
3) Assign a spot in the rotation, that is, not having 'Must starts' go to slot #1;
4) Lineups that allow us to designate that a starter at one position, say second base, is the #1 backup at shortstop;
5) Better lineup logic for adjusting subbed players to the best defensive lineup;
6) Similarly, an option to prevent a player from being played at a middle infield position while better defenders sit on the bench.
7) A fireworks display when you clinch the pennant or World Series. At least an email noting you've won the first pennant in the 20+ year history of your franchise.

The ability to break down a players stats during the time he was on a different teams.

IE If said player played for your team for 2 years, you could see his 2 year totals. If said player played 2 years with your team, left, came back 8 years later and played 1 year you have an option to see his 2 year total with your team, or his 3 year totals with your team, or see the totals from whatever teams he played for.

Every time I encounter this situation here, I think of scenes from those 1960's movies about Greek mythology (Jason and the Argonauts, 1963 comes to mind) in which the gods on Mount Olympus look down through their portal at the puny doings of mortal men, manipulating mankind for their own pleasure. Oh, how those OOTPD gods mock us!

Yes, I'm with Padreman.

Give us some real information about version 16.

It's the middle of January.

I'll buy it in gratitude for giving up such a great game, but would like to know some of the new features.

Better news coverage is needed. I don't think much has been added for quite a few versions. And I doubt if the old news stories have been refreshed much in recent years.

Playoff coverage... monthly league wrap-ups or summaries... yearly league summaries... how many times an award winner has won the award... how many times a player has made the All-Star team... All-Star game individual stats... how many times a team has won the championship.

A stadium editor would be great, too. Let us create minor league and college ballparks and be able to give them character.
