I always keep the "main" logo, jersey, and cap folders empty.

I always put my league-specific logos, jerseys, and caps in the appropriate saved-game folders.

I observe the new naming conventions for home and away caps and jerseys, and year-specific logos, caps, and jerseys.

I never have a problem.

Why is this so hard?

Yep, this is probably the best way to do it.

It isn't that it is hard, it is that it is a workaround.

The game should do that automatically.

Regardless, your level of implied hostility over this is kind of ridiculous.

Given that these are user-made add-ons that we have to manually place in the correct folders, I don't see how the game should do that automatically. And this is how it works, it is not a workaround.

On the other hand, my apologies to the board and to the OP. I did not intend to be hostile, although I was being less than patient, which is not helpful. I am sorry.

Actually, code is written into the game to make it automatic if logos are named properly and placed in the main logos folder, but something's not right with it and needs looking at.

Well, that is cool, but how will the logos be directed to the correct saved game? My procedure isn't new and it isn't a kludge. We always knew that logos in the top folder would affect every .lg file. That's why you leave them out if you want league-specific. For me this is just standard ops. Sorry, I need to leave this alone now. Thanks for the clarification, justafan.

I do happen to agree with you. This game is made to be CUSTOMIZABLE, not necessarily AUTOMATIC. The developers cannot anticipate and provide for every conceivable way to construct leagues and play this game so as to make it "easy to play."

Because, if that were the case, we'd all still be playing a game here that resembles Hardball III.

If one is astute enough to build and maintain multiple leagues (that is, multiple universes because we are not talking about several leagues within one game), then one is surely smart and ambitious enough to "work around" (in quotes because that implies fault; perhaps a better term is "provide for") having different logos for the same teams in different universes. Just date the logo files or have some slight variation in team names and corresponding logo file names, such as the league initials)!

Thanks to Jaysdailydose, Deja Bru and NYY #23. You guys really helped. I appreciate it.

I still wish the game would do what I would expect it to do in game, but the workaround with this new source will suffice.
No problem at all, my friend. Gotta help my fellow dynasty reporters!

I know the feeling especially making quickstarts for others... I probably have 50 different sets of things.

I DO still recommend making multiple folders... not for the engine of the game, but your own sanity. Glad you are on the right track!

Not everyone has everything mapped out so well. I understand that this is easy for you, but the tone of your posts IS coming across rather abrasive. Just saying.
