True the 4th year was what made it bad, but also racing out of the FA gate to sign him before allowing the market to set itself like it has every year recently, allowing for late, cheap signings... what was it about him that they had to have? Chen is essentially the same pitcher other than IP & they got him for 1/$4.25M... With an elite bullpen& Shields giving you 220 IP, Guthrie giving you 200 IP, Chen giving you 175 IP, do you have to pay up & do you have to do it so early? I think the answers are no & no.

This is a cool idea and I hope it happens if folks really want it to, but there's no chance at all that we'll be doing this officially or even as a semi-official mod

It would take a crazy amount of time and we don't have the time to do it. Even if we did, that time could be better used strengthening the roster set in other ways, rather than in creating multiple real roster set universes at different dates.

If bwburke94 or anyone else wants to do this as a mod, please feel free and we'll look forward to seeing the results. Just don't expect this from haveband and I or the rest of the roster team.

Kansas City is an interesting team, they are so elite at marginal things, defense and the bullpen, and so questionable at the meat and potatoes of hitting and starting pitching.

You know what'd be cool, is if when you start a new dynasty, one additional option came up with the "Assign the manager" screen/whatever it's called where you choose your team/birthday/all that. If there was an option for "Start game with 50 computer generated coaches, 15 scouts/15 trainers?"

Just don't take control when is season is over you would get Jibs offer the problem when in Commissioner Mode teams still sign Pitchers and Players to Contract Extensions or Free Agents. Anothe thing is turn off Injuries. You could take the Rosters as of Trade Deadline and make them after World Series but would have create or take from 2014 QuickStart like Tanaka and Abreu.
