Jeff, thank you kindly for addressing some of the points of my original post in this thread about cosmetic changes to the game (even though it is addressed to Sebastian ). I am glad to hear that the game play screen is not lost in the 'fixing/upgrading' shuffle, and will be upgraded in the next patch. Like I said, I think the cosmetic changes I mentioned and asked for, will really help the game be more 'playable'. It is very important that the game 'looks' good, in addition to playing good.
And about the facegen : it can wait until things are more established and detailed, but if you guys can at least get the 'clones' in the team uniform colors, that would help a great deal, in terms of eye candy.

3.-Facegen. Yes, this is needed badly. I play a fictional draft league and if I have to sit through every game looking at those 'literal' lines of clones, I know I will go crazy, eventually. I find it funny, at the moment, but I know that is going to start to change when I get to mid-season. Changing the screen helps, but gosh, those flags again on the alternate screen !

4.-Team Uniform/helmet colors. This is kinda tied in to the Facegen topic, but the clones really need to be dressed up in their team colors and uniforms.

5.-Finally, at least for now, COLOR play by play. Team color PBP, to be more exact, so we know what team is in possession, by the color of the text. Flags (!) should also be in the teams' colors ! But no more flags, please !!!!!!

Anyhoo, just my thoughts about the look of the game. I didn't really cover audio, but that isn't essential, right now. I know eventually we will be able to add our own goal sounds, etc.

I am bumping this thread again, after installing the new patch and seeing virtually nothing done in the way of fixing the game cosmetically. I am also mirroring a few notes that were placed on one of the 'update threads', asking for cosmetic fixes, as well.
Devs PLEASE consider the look of the game ! If you see from my original request note above, I am not asking for MAJOR changes, just graphical/text tweaks to make the game look nicer and be more inviting to play.
Case in point : on the latest patch, when you click the view of the game you want to play/watch, a preview screen pops up with info about the upcoming game. That was a nice touch !
See ? Little things like that help tremendously !
Unfortunately, the game play screen was the same as it always was, and so I felt let down, and quite frankly bored again.
And my GOD, these flags on the ice are making me sick !

I personally think the rating system in the game is the best way to show who are the best players in the game. A star rating out of 5 is incredibly limiting. Nobody can stand out above the rest.

I'm really not trying to push you with this post but do you have a rough estimate of how this patch with a revamped match engine will take from now on? I don't want an exact date, but something like 1 month or 2 months or so would be interesting. Thanks!

Not sure if we can or not, but a black skin for the game would be nice.

Also, a quick jump on the side like in ootp14 would be awesome.

Personal messages page also needs an update for looks.

In OOTP the user can choose to use Stars or Numbers for over-all potential/rating.

It's rated out of what the user sets it to.

You have 5 choices for scale:

1-5
2-8
1-10
20-80
1-100

Actually 6 choices since you can disable them altogether to increase the "Fog of War".
