One thing you'll quickly learn around here... that's just The Wolf. It's just who he is. Either put him on your ignore list, or just let it slide. He's really not a bad guy, he's just very brusque. And, as has been pointed out, you misunderstood BusterKing. He was asking you to not quote The Wolf's posts so that he doesn't see them (which seems a little selfish to me).

From my experience, most of the community here is friendly and accommodating. Don't let one poor response and one misunderstanding color your view of the rest of the forum. I will be the first to agree with you that it was certainly a bad first impression. But please give the rest of us a chance before you take off - everyone has their bad days here and there, but overall, this is actually one of the better forums I've ever been a part of.

Nice to see that someone understands.

When you deal with true bigotry and maliciousness on almost a daily basis, you learn the difference pretty quickly.

You, hhwn, said this:

I pointed out this:

Whence these comments of yours at that point, eh? It looks like you are the one overreacting a bit here.

How about hitting the "restart button" all around?
And this, instead of being conciliatory, was your response:

Here's mine: You want nasty? You seem to want it, so I'll give it to you. Be off with you and take your stupid attitude with you.

Wolf, although I don't agree with your methods, you had him pegged as you often do. Brusque was called for, indeed.

Moderators, I just PM'd this guy with the following: "Cancel my previous (conciliatory) messages. Don't like it here? Beat it."

Essentially, I'm reporting myself. Tag a warning on me if you think it appropriate.

Apparently, it causes grown men to act irrationally and leads to the online equivalent of a bench clearing brawl.

To actually be helpful here, a Steam Key is a code that allows a Steam user to add a previously-purchased game to their Steam library, so they can access the game via Steam without having to purchase it again.

So, it's similar to a license key only it's used for all the games you get on Steam? That sounds cool. I'd still want to purchase from here because you get the patches right away instead of having to wait. Of course, sometimes that's not such a great thing (I'm still contentedly on 14.3.12 for Windows).

Can cause serious burns if not used safely.

Yeah, you're right. I usually don't lose my temper like that but then again, I did go out of the way to mollify the guy and smooth things over.

Oh well, I'm out of here. Carry on, guys, and full Steam ahead!

Wow, what a bunch of elitist people in here. I know to never ask a question on these forums. Brutal.
