Works for me! But I have to disable my AVG anti virus program to be able to access it. Here's the explanation I got from The Blue Line site:

"Trojan Horse warning is likely to be a false positive. I know a couple of other users have encountered the same issue but could safely ignore it. It seems some anti virus programmes think that the online licensing is Trojan when it's not. Obviously it's entirely down to you whether or not you choose to treat the warning as a false positive - I don't want to go telling users to ignore a potential virus error." I haven't had any issues, but of course, immediately turn AVG back on, when I'm finished playing.

And while I understand someone mentioned on here that the trial time for the game is six months "in game", it still says at the beginning that the trial period will end in June, 2014. I do find that hard to believe, but time will tell.

I am having a blast playing the game, and really just doing the GM role, not "drilling down" to setting up my own lines, etc. And the trading has been fun, and I feel, fairly challenging and not too easy! I'm not playing the game to be a critic, or "nit pick" at what's lacking, etc., I'm just enjoying the overall experience. It entertains me!

I may plop down $34.99 when my trial does end, but then again, Front Office Football is due out in two weeks, so I'll have to think about it! Probably end up buying both! lol

It was a while ago since I played the free trial demo (when it was released ) But I do remember it lasting ages! Then one night, into the save I had to borrow the parents credit card and buy it haha.. Good times EHM!

Loved EHM more than any game ever. But, then I got a new computer and despite having a valid license, could never get it to accept the license on the new computer. I'm not paying $35 to re-buy a game I've already bought and they don't seem to have customer support any more - at least I never got an answer.

Try to contact one of the SI guys (like Mr Duffy). I had a similar issue a while ago and got a new license.

Btw, anyone knows if the multiplayer works? I had joined a league trying for it, but the game kept on crashing so we ended up just skipping the league.

Several You Tube videos. Just go on and type NHL Eastside Hockey Manager. The very first one that comes up is a 25 minute review of the game! Also go to "The Blue Line" forums, and there you will find many downloads available, including logos, etc., and general info on the game!

Forum Index ? EHM The Blue Line

Also, when your there, go to the Tech Support sub forum, and look for the subject, Want EHM 2007 Buy! Need Help.. There you will find the address for the "try and buy" demo.

I had this game since it was released. Used to play the freeware version before the SI versions were released. I miss EHM. In the last year I switched to a Mac from a PC and can't get a Mac version anywhere. I don't run any conversion software currently. I have parallels but no OS to run anything. Anyone know where you can still get a Mac version. I would definitely be willing to pay again if need be. I paid my money for FHM and like OOTP 14 but there are so many little things that EHM had that are missing in FHM. I cannot begin to get engaged in FHM at this moment. I feel disconnected from the game. Not being able to hire a Head Coach, no feed back in trade offers or counter proposals (this is the single most annoying thing in OOTP as well), not being able to mass offer out a player for trade to gauge interest (I very very rarely receive an offer from AI on a trade block player regardless of rating level), and no game or overall rating (form). Yes stats are being used more in hockey than ever before however stats do not tell the whole story like they do in baseball. Just because a player have 0's across the board doesn't mean he hasn't played a good game or a bad game or even a ok game.
I understand there are a lot of people on here that like the historical feature (as I do as well). I just think that so much focus has been placed there and the game as a whole isn't running at max potential. I would much rather have to wait for a good comprehensive historical mode if I got a engaging modern game first. With a usable UI, engaging and realistic AI and a good base of running a hockey operation. Right now those 3 things are missing therefor I don't care that I can manage the 1964 Montreal Canadians (to beat the Leafs of course) because it's not engaging.

I apologize for the long rant but I've been resisting posting that for a while and finally stated to post something instead of just reading and I couldn't help myself.

So anyone know where I can get EHM07 for Mac?

IIRC the Mac version of EHM was pulled because it didn't work with later versions of the OS. Unfortunately I don't think it is possible to buy for the Mac anymore. The options you have are either to use Parallels with a Windows OS or alternatively Wineskin which doesn't require an additional OS: EHM 2007 on Apple Mac / CrossOver Mac OS X Questions ? I owe the customer services an apology, I emailed again today and got a response and my license back within 3 hours. Back to EHM, it's been a while!

I have played the crap out of EHM07 since it came out. Easily the best sports sim out there. Yes it has some flaws (like hard-coded leagues/divisions, feedback on trades is rather lacking, and the offensive stats for players is unrealistic), but there is so much good in the game and it is a ton of fun. The guys on TBL do a lot of hard work to update rosters and the CSD patch is awesome.

I enjoy OOTP but baseball is touch and go with me. I can't wait for FHM to be a good game, it definitely has potential.

My guess would be 2-3 years minimum. When it does catch up though, look out!

Looking forward to FOF7 as well. Still mess around with FOF2007.

Starting two months ago, I now work from home, so I have time off and on to play a game or two during the day. With soccer a year around sport, FM I play pretty much all the time. Here's the others on my list right now, and the order usually changes, as the "seasons" change!

1. FM2013 (still enjoying this, so haven't purchased 14)
2. OOTP14 (fading a bit now, but the "winter meetings" have got me going again)
3. EHM (playing the heck out of this right now)
4. GPRO(Grand Prix Racing Online) If you like racing, this game is at the top of the list! More of a MMO game I guess, with races twice a week! It is so challenging!
5. WGT (World Golf Tour) Another kinda MMO game! Addicting!
6. FOF (Front Office Football) After a long layoff, started playing this about a month ago, and glad I did, as the new version will be out soon!

I've kinda been intrigued about FOF, but never caved in to buying it. Looked interesting from the demo (even if the UI was a bit weird). This new release might be the one that makes me buy it.

Yeah, if you can live with the 1990s graphics, it's a great game. It's stable, fast, and produces accurate statistical results. I've purchased every version but it's definitely not OOTP as there is no customization.

Totally readdicted to the game. Had hardly played in a year. Yeah there are some things that just do not add up or work quite right. IE the frozen forever salary cap...which does not really matter THAT much, as players ask for $ according to the cap.

I went to a db I had never used before that has some recent updates, but leaves all the players on their original teams...Updated unfaking. It is kind of cool to go through from 2006-07 to present day and have the kids get drafted by different teams etc.

For example the Vancouver Canucks drafted Ryan McDonough and Kevin Shattenkirk. Patrick Kane went to Atlanta. But even more interesting......and really cool....

STEVEN STAMKOS drafted 1st overall.....by the TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING.

Playing again and loving it again, I'm using the same updated unfaking rosters. I pretty much stopped following real life hockey around 2010, so it's all pretty up-to-date for me!
