George Springer?
Oscar Taveras?

After posting 8.1 WAR in 2013 and 5.1 WAR halfway through 2014 he went down for 4 months with a torn back muscle in late July. In October 2014 he had a setback and had to retire at the age of 23.

Ouch! Tough to see that. But at the same time, it's things like that which make OOTP so great, IMO.

Yeah, I was shocked how OOTP could do that to Mike Trout. But then I was kind of glad he wasn't on my team. Still nice, that not even supestar caliber players are immune to career ending injuries in OOTP. And as a matter of fact, that kind of stuff could happen to anybody in real life as well. That's the "beauty" of it.

My Trout has been floundering. Oh my cod, I've haddock! This season, he really smelt so it's no fluke. I put him on the trading block for the halibut but no bites. It's like everybody knows he's crappie. I don't mean to carp but something is really fishy here.

paco .... the Angels were in rebuilding mode so I offered 4 minor league players from AAA and one major league player as well as 2.5 million .... got lucky and I did the same thing for Bryce Harper although I had to give up several big league guys that time and 5.7 million cash as well both times I got very lucky and took me literally a few weeks to find a deal that the AI would accept for each player

what helps is to offer a player and every time click make it work .... that might help you in seeing who the AI likes. Sometimes add a couple players or just one player sometimes add money helps too

Just started a new 2013 season taking over the Cubs as GM only and simming and Trout won 2013, 2014 and 2015 MVP.

Trading Travis D'Arnaud, Zack Wheeler, Gavin Cecchini and Noah Syndergaard for Trout is a no-brainer, right?

I should also add that Trout just won 2013 AL MVP after a 9.9 WAR season...

D'arnaud is a MVP candidate in 2015. Wheeler is darn good. Sydergaard i would have to look up in my game but i believe he was doing well no clue on Cecchini.

Taveras is leading the NL in Average at .349, 3rd in HR @ 32 and leading RBI @110. 3 games remaining. St Louis will not make the playoffs though.

It's really not hard to trade for anyone in OOTP, if you know how to game the AI. Not saying that's what happened, of course, but I would never express shock at any trade; the AI is notoriously gullible, especially with the right AI Eval settings on.

In my game Trout had a very good 2013 season, although he did fall a little short of his outstanding rookie season. Then in 2014 he had a career ending injury.

I didn't mind too much, since I run an expansion team in Portland, and the Angels are a division rival. I do think it's sad to see the most promising young player in years being forced to retire in his early 20's though.

OOTP doesn't know names, only numbers. How many times does this have to be said?
