But would you rather have 5 top 200 prospects, or one top 100?

Edit: or in this case top 50

how do you know they are top 200? After the first 100, you have no idea. Take a look at your top 20 prospects for your team. If the 5 guys are on that list, I probably wouldn't do the trade. If a couple of them are but they aren't in the top 100, then go for it. In general, I would rather have a couple great prospects than a bunch of decent prospects. Don't concern yourself too much with the stats of the players.

Why not teach Quinn 3B? I'd imagine that given his IF ratings by the time he reaches the majors he's be at least a 7 or 8 at the position.

From Washington's perspective (and I have it both as a fan and player of the Nats from the 2013 roster set)...

Rendon is a bit of a luxury because Zimmerman is still in his prime. Zimmerman is a bit of a health concern, and there isn't great depth behind him outside of Rendon, but I'd look at it as Rendon is my top bargaining chip if I'm Rizzo. I'd want a good, young arm back, or perhaps a CF and I wouldn't settle on a mixed bag of "pretty good" prospects.

Quantity vs quality and the Nats are not in a rebuilding mode, so quantity doesn't move the needle as far as I'm concerned. They have a pretty good farm and they don't have a lot of needs at the MLB level. I can't see them moving Rendon for a mixed bag.

Depends on your situation.
If I'm the Nats, I'd prefer the one Top 50. If I'm the Marlins - I'd want the 5 Top 200.

There's 100 ways you can manipulate a trade with the AI. The fact is though, if you put yourself in the other team's shoes and you wouldn't do the deal, you shouldn't make the deal with the AI.
