Round 1 1984 Detroit Tigers defeat the 2010 San Francisco Giants 4-0
2010 San Francisco Giants vs. 1984 Detroit Tigers
In this sweep, the Tigers outscored the Giants in the series 24-3 and only the last game could be considered close. The Tigers used only 4 pitchers the entire series, with Jack Morris and Dan Petry pitching complete games, Matt Wilcox and Petry in his second start going 8 and Willie Hernandez closing these two games. A Balanced Detroit attack got to the Giants pitching staff and gave the tigers all the support they needed. Series MVP Dan Petry SP Tigers ![]() |

Not to copy, but, I will be firing up a thread soon that is also a tournament format, however, mine will be based on best single season records. It will be interesting to see how similar our results are
Keep up the good work |
