That's a really great uniform set!

I just joined the Flames partisans.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

I wonder if the Braves have any idea about just how offensive that chop is to Native Americans? Or if they care?

I am heavily leaning towards Flames. I am gonna get someone to make me home white road grey for Atl and see what i think then. For now I am gonna stick with the Peaches uniforms I have.

If they know, they don't care. Obviously. But it's a catchy rhythm. That's probably the problem why Braves fans take part in that stupid stuff without thinking about it.
In the end even without thinking about how offensive that chop is, it is completely annoying. Watching games which involve the Braves at home is just a pain in the ass with that chop every time a home team player is on 2nd base.

Even worse, it's not original. The FSU Seminoles started doing that long before Atlanta fans did.

Yeah, I know. That lets Braves Fans look even more stupid. Sorry if I offend someone (Braves fan) by calling him stupid, but, well, Braves fans offend even more people.

When it comes to offending Native Americans, the film and television industry is better (and more prolific) at it than anybody else.

I wonder how long a chant like that would go on before it was stopped for good if it was about black people instead of Native Americans and instead of a tomahawk involved either cotton picking or watermelon? Yeah, probably about one repetition. And then there would be a massive apology. But Native Americans are only third-class citizens, it seems, and so can be crapped upon by baseball unmercifully forever.

Major League Baseball (and the NFL) doesn't just tolerate racism against Native Americans, they actively promote it. Shame on them all.

Being from Germany we are instantly called "Nazis" if we say or do something racist. But in North American professional sports they are racist against Native Americans without hesitation. Yet I thought the human race would have learned from past mistakes.

Although I agree that our country has become waay too politically correct and that it is time for a backlash against that kind of thought control, I agree that we should be more sensitive considering the genocide that we committed against the native populations.

Slavery is one thing but genocide is absolutely another.

Madj, when did people ever learn anything from history?

Germ warfare, indiscriminate massacre, rape, grand theft nation and genocide. And still mistreated to this day as third-class citizens.

Bitter Native American joke: Q. Why were the blacks enslaved while we suffered genocide? A. They got first choice.
