 Chipper Jones today went 2-for-4, including his 2,500th hit of his career.  Matt Stairs announced today that he will be retiring at the end of the season. Lifetime, Stairs has played in 1844 games with a .264 batting average. Among his 1357 hits are 293 doubles, 13 triples and 265 home runs. He also has scored 766 runs and driven in 897 runs.  Although I like the history of baseball, especially the Bosox, a little change of pace is always good. I just can't get away from this franchise! I just need to change my mindset in regards to the pitchers and the handling of them.
