1. I've never played an online league before, but I've been playing OOTP for a number of years now. I'm excited at the opportunity to use what I've learned as a GM offline and see how it translates to playing against other players.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

3. Unlike most people, I think the Dodgers are a few cogs short of a championship. I think fortunately, this being online - I won't have to deal with the ownership woes and will have the resources to build a championship winning team. I've gotten pretty into the sabermetrics side of baseball recently and I think that using those techniques with the money the dodgers do have, I could build a team that will not only contend, but will also hold its own throughout the season and the playoffs.

4. Hopefully these answers were adequate enough to get into the league. I'm actually the friend that recommended JDRedemann to play OOTP in the first place. We've always talked about joining an online league to determine once and for all who was the better GM. So, I'm really hoping for the opportunity. A couple more spots opened guys (Padres, Braves, Dodgers)

This is a fantastic league, the forums are buzzing with activity.. it is a new league so that is to be expected. A lot of OOTP veterans here with a nice mix of OOTP online virgins It's funny because the new people are so anxious to play they've been the most active.

We have a dedicated commish who does not control a team and knows what he is doing.

If your looking for a fresh league that you can dedicate your time too, this is a great opportunity. It has a great competitive feel. We may even be starting our own MLB The Show online league since there are a lot of PS3 users who have the game.

Get in on the action now, you will not be sorry!

Agreed. This has been a fantastically active and committed league so far. We just need a few more to make it top notch. Get in soon! We don't want to start without you.

Pirates
Padres

The season is just underway.. completed first 14 games..

We took a slow approach to our spring training. We wanted to separate the good GMs from the bad.. turns out we had 4 bad ones..

Grab a team now before it's too late, extremely active forums, nice to see team previews from about 40% of the league, and some solid teams available to boot!

Good luck!

[1. OOTP League Experience]
I have been in a few online leagues. Currently I am running my own Blue Jays franchise sim. I started in 1977.

[2. Desired team]
The team I would like to take over is the San Diego Padres.

[3. Your plans with desired teams (Are you going to rebuild? Go for a championship? Explain how you will accomplish these goals)]
I try to rebuild by using players from the farm system, then looking for free agents to draft to fill the farm system.

1. OOTP League Experience - I don't have any, but I have done a couple of hockey sim leagues in the past. I am basically looking to get involved in two leagues (one modern and one historical), and be in them for the long-term though.
2. Desired team - Of the three left, in order, I would say Dodgers, then Padres, then Red Sox.
3. Your plans with desired teams - I'm not sure if there is a fantasy draft, but I generally try to go into a fantasy draft looking for value, so if that were found in players I could win now with, I would go for it now; if it were found in prospects etc., I would go young. If there is no fantasy draft, then I would probably try to build arround Kershaw and Kemp if I got the Dodgers... if I got the Padres, I would probably go young, and try to build around the prospects, and if I got the Red Sox, I would probably throw-up, and then put everyone on waivers and relocate the team .

Philadelphia, LAA, Colorado, Boston and Arizona can be had by good, responsible owners.
