Except the game might have a half dozen locations in its database, and it'll adjust according to the first one it hits. More, it might not even HAVE a Texas, as Texas is the state and not the city its located in.

It probably ties into the "Philadelphia, Mississippi" issue you get when you manually add teams in, and since Philadelphia, Mississippi is down south, it could get shoved into a quirky division if you already have, say, a New York, Washington, Baltimore and Pittsburgh set up in the game.

I had this problem trying to set up the AZL. IIRC, the solution was not to change names by the names and affiliations screen but rather to change names of the teams from their ballpark and options page. IIRC, that did not realign them. Also once name changes made realigning them from league editor seem to make them stick as long as you did not change a name from name and affiliations. I have only done this one so I hope I am remembering correctly. I did eventually get the AZL setup right so there is someway to do it.

It's not worth filing a ticket. It was something I was able to rectify after fiddling around for a few minutes.

As I said, I think the developers got a little too cute and included a feature that made something rather simple more complicated by an additional five or so minutes.
