Very true, but I think the argument would be that it shouldn't have to be done. Of course, if people don't mind doing that it becomes pretty low priority.

I still think an ethnicity by year database would be useful though, and I stand by the point that as little as possible in the way of settings should be hard coded.

I'm not arguing....

My point is just that the average Joe wants things to be right out of the box and the OCD types (me) are more willing to fix thing themselves (if they can).

I think we agree, but from different angles.

My personal thought is that it should be right out of the box but, as far as possible, shouldn't require much work outside of the game or a workaround if you want to do things differently.

I've said quite a few times, my overall opinion is that as little as possible should be hard coded.

So the minors are not just for fictional players but guys a team has who are not on the active roster currently. You have to get a modded database for players to enter when they entered the minors. There are some by Spritze and maybe Gambo on Padresfan's site where players enter the game at 18 rather than their rookie year.
