10/10 it's perfect ... we don't need ootp13 because this can't get better and no need to work on patch #1.
Oh wait ... but to be fair it's the greatest baseball gm fictional carreer play game. At the current state 8.99 after patches easily a 9/10.
Waiting for ootp13 for more awesomeness

8 for me, it's a great game and better than 11 for me, but I'm having stability issues (4 crashes compared to 0 in a year of 11). I expect a 9 rating after the patches and 10 if the crashes stop recurring.

i'd vote 10 but i can't import my league from 11 into 12 without getting problems, please see my thread on wrong country for more info
as is the game looks nice but is unplayable for me at the moment so i'll hold off rating it till i can play it otherwise i'll be asking for my money back soon

On the other hand, if your league in Uganda is a supplementary league and you WANT the players to be subpar, all you have to do is lower the Player Creation Modifiers.

I know it's possible to do so manually.

But i'd like the game to be able to do it automatically in the future.

I give it a strong 6 only because of the nagging bugs that are in the game once these are taken care of I will give a 10. But I think its a little early to give a game any rating that just came out mostly because of all the bugs it has. We need to wait until the bugs are gone then give it a rating.

If Markus Heinsohn says it's a 10.... it's gotta be a 10!

Seriously, it will be after the final patch before I will seriously play OOTP12.

It's way too early for me to judge this version.

I gave a 6 also for the same reason: it doesn't feel finished. But hopefuly after a few patches, it will live up to the hype. This isn't the first time that the game needed a few patches to make it really great.

Compared to other Ootp games, 6/10. Why so low? Missing several promised features, delayed a month longer than expected, still many game crashing bugs.

Compared to other similar games? 9/10. Only not perfect because of the things I listed above.

But, after a few patches, this game will surpass how good 11 was.
