Which set is it ??? Iīm looking at when this was added about 26/4 2011 and I canīt find which one. The one from HFP Team is from 2010 in the FaceGen folder. Help me out Iīm surely blind or stupid (perhaps both) PS I was blind or just lazy. Ididnīt notice Padresfans splitted the Facegens into Modern and historical and some more. Just a little look further down the site I found it. Sorry for the mess Last edited by clamel; 05-28-2011 at 07:00 AM. |

I still got some problems after DL all the fg-files into the fg-file folder.
Using Base set and Gambos and still I canīt get any pictures. I set the Game Preference FaceGen Enabled Picture search mode to Search to Photfit(Facegen) first Inside the Game Setup I tried all the in the League setup under the Fictional Picture functions. Updates and all However when I look when I look at Game Setup / Player & Picture Options I see that Fictional Picture Option is disabled !!!! saying facegen is not initialized ??? I do have a tick in the boxes for Load Photfit first What in heavens name did I do wrong. I have never used these Facegens before but only right photos of players so this is new ground and I am stuck for the moment. Any help please I did restart but still problems and no pictures. |

1st make sure they are not in any subdirectories in the fg_Files folder.
The facegen not initialized would by my 1st concern. Try running the facegen mode it in troubleshoot mode 1 or 2 and see what happens.

the fg-file folder is only filled with your fg-files. No other folders. I started in troubleshooting mode 1 and first this is the setup, and the OOTP Prefernce The last photo is showing the info on looking at Jose Canseco Some messup with some default-player-photo.jpg Will this lead to some clear AHA from any of you clever guys. Whenever I try to pick face-gens in the setup everything looks good but the end result is the same. "shaded" selections and face-gens not initialized. Whatever next step to take. Inside the troubletracin file is says like this 12:11:26 myfacegen: myfacegen object created 12:11:26 MYFACEGEN::init: Could not load fg file 12:11:26 startup: error during myfacegen->init() 12:12:11 error_msgbox: startup - Facegen disabled: myfacegen->init() failed 12:12:11 myfacegen: myfacegen object deleted so one or another file in the fg-files is missing. I only have the fg files you had in your package. Should I have another file in this folder that didnīt come from this huge zipfile ?? Last edited by clamel; 06-03-2011 at 06:21 AM. |

Thank you so much for this...what a great add on! I appreciate it!!!
Are there plans to have a naming scheme text file? Such as Michael Lynch would be the pirate, the Cub would then be Michael L Lynch or something?

BTW both Mike Lynch's have a middle initial of J So Mike Lynch Cubs could have the fg attached like Mike_Lynch_lynchmi01 & The Pirate could be Mike_Lynch_lynchmi02 and the game would recognize who is who, then we woulnt have to have 9 Ramon Martinez' in the game each with a different middle initial. |

The databases provided in game now use a system where there a no duplicated names. The naming in the latest version of the project uses this system also.

Sorry, I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to this stuff. Can someone please provide a step-by-step guide on how to use this Facegen pack?
I downloaded the file from the OOTPMODS.com website. I saved the file "HistoricalFacegens.tar" into my Owner>Documents>OOTP Developments>OOTP Baseball 12>fg_files folder. Now what do I do? Is this even where its supposed to be saved? What is a .tar file? How do I turn this .tar file into all of the individual .fg files? It seems like I am missing a huge piece of the puzzle here. Is there a Readme file that comes with this download? How do I get my current historical league to start using this file? Do I have to save it in my League folder somewhere? Thanks! Always backup your league before you start in case you don't like the outcome. You need to "unpack" the .tar file with a program that will handle it. I use 7-zip but you could search on it and find something that works for you. You can then open the .tar file in this program and extract all files to your .../OOTP Baseball 13 folder. The extract will place the files in the /fg_files folder. Next, open your historical league and navigate to League Options, Player & Picture Options. Check the fictional picture options and set to your taste. If you want everybody to have a facegen, set to all players, upon player creation, and always if needed. Check the box for Load PhotoFit (FaceGen) files automatically and, IF you don't want any real photos in your league, un-check the box for Load player pictures automatically. Next, press the button for Force Update/Generate All Player Pictures. It might take a while depending upon the size of your league but you should have facegens after this process. |

I DL and used 7zip to extract flies into my MyDoC/OOTP13/fg_files folder - It placed Fg files into this folder -
Yet, I don't really see any players with their correct images within my 1995 league - For example there are no black players showing up it doesnt' appear - Or really any correct players for the 1995 Braves. Obviously I must be doing something wrong here... Fred McGrif, David Justice and Greg Maddux I guess are three people for example that don't show up (maybe they just aren't included). Just a fast guess, are your file in the subfolder just like the screen capture attached to my post? If so, you need to copy their contents in the fg folder. If I remembering well you go in this order : Base set / SpritzeGambo / Additional /Consolidated
All the players you mentioned are included, most of the missing players are from the 19th century and the early 20th century. |

Is anyone seeing the blue zombie face with any of these?
I am using WinXP. Could someone check out Don Money for me? He's showing up with that blue zombie face. For most of the 70's he was on the Brewers. Thanks. |

The Don Money in this file is indeed a zombie blue face.
Tried my hand at creating a facegen and came up with this if you want it. |

I think I have one that the color is fixed up from the original (blue zombie) but the one you have there is pretty good...
