I love the Nets, and if the deal was just Favors and Harris for Williams, I'd be all for it. But they also gave up what will likely be a lottery pick next year, as well as the year after (does anyone really think the Warriors are going anywhere next year? Definitely not in the lack-of-parity NBA).

The Warriors pick is protected (1-7) so it wasn't like the Nets had huge hopes they were going to get it.

Way to pull the trigger. Kevin O'connor gets a lot of crap from the Jazz fans. Utah wasn't going anywhere this season or even the next and we needed a return if D-will was going to leave. Harris, Favors and two draft picks is great compensation. Along with Favors, Jeremy Evans and Gordan Hayword, the Jazz will have a good nucleus of young players that wont push them over the luxury tax.
I wish D-Will the best and hope the losing in New Jersey won't be too hard on him. I thought we lost Boozer last year, but I guess we had remnants of his bad attitude still around. |
