ok i only read the 1st 2 posts but muy guess as to why it says Team A wins series 2-1 ina 7 game series is because u can set the playoffs to a 3 game series and the game doesnt differentiate between 3 game series, 5 or 7 or 9

This is one of my pet peeves, I logged this on April 12th, and it was confirmed and logged for an upcoming patch. I guess not though.

Yeah it happens to me...but is this really a bug worth complaining about? I mean...correct me if I'm wrong, but the only difference is that it says the words "wins" instead of "leads," right? There are no other problems that result from this...I mean..wow I guess I don't see the need to complain about literally one word being wrong.

If they go through the trouble to fix spelling errors (and they do), then it stands to reason they would go through the trouble of fixing this. It's cosmetic, yes, but not something that isn't glaring and didn't need fixing.

Besides the simple choice of words ("wins" vs "leads"), it is also odd that if you backtrack through the daily league schedule (where you see the linescores, W, L, S & HR data), every single game of a completed series appears with the final outcome of the series written below the HR listing. The text under the HR line for games 1 through 5 of a full-blown series all say for example "Team A wins series, 3 to 2." instead of game 1's text saying "Team A leads series, 1 to 0", game 2's text saying "Series tied, 1 to 1.", ... and so on. (I just completed the minor league playoffs of my 2010 season simulation with OOTP 11.1.8.)

I think the main gripe about this is that it used to work correctly and in this version, all of a sudden, it doesn't.

Yes I have the same problem in both an imported version 10 league and a newly created ver11 game. I hate it too even though it is just a spelling error!

Exactly. Just like the playoff roster screwup that lasted 3 versions. For some reason they bother me more.
