We certainly are due for a pitcher to win MVP.

Well, when did they win those awards? Quite awhile ago. In the 21 century we have moved beyond needing to give MVP awards to pitchers.

That's a little more than 1.5 wins per month. If he gets as many starts as he did last year, that's 20. If he wins half of those starts he's got 23 wins. Only 5 of his games last year did he not get a decision. He'd have to fall to earth pretty hard to only win 21. Who knows though, I'd like to see him break 27.
