After 15 years here (Gawd...I must be old!) under a couple incarnations, I can tell you that I'll almost always take the time to throw a nugget the way of anyone who asks. It's how I was treated by many of the fine folk who've been here even longer than me. It's my obligation to do the same. I was in the shoes of those rookies once, and what goes around comes around. This isn't just a forum, it's a community. If we don't care for it, it will wither and die.
That said, catering to the offense level of others always results in a series of never-ending goal post moves. It's how society got to the low ebb it currently occupies. It's not how a thriving community functions. Also, if I'm asked the same question 100 times, but by different people, it's not annoying. It's a chance to share. If I'm asked the same questions 100 times by the same person, well...it ends differently.
