Wow. That's really cool. Except for Drysdale lol. He should have stayed with the Dodgers.
When I think of all those baseball cards I used to have it makes me sick. We used to flip them against the wall to win or lose. And put them in bike wheels to make noise. |

1952 sounds about right for me too. Born in Dec45. Stacks of cards. And a sore jaw from chewing all that fleer gum.

As I Was Born In 1952, But, I Also Remember Taking My TranSistor To School, To LisTen To Those WorLd Series, Starting In 1961, When I Was OnLY 9. Also Took It To LisTen To The Astronauts' ExPLoits Back Then, Starting With Shepherd, Grissom, And GLenn. I Remember Being Home Sick, And Watched Game One On TV, Which The Yanks Won 2-0, The First Of 2 Whitey Ford Shutouts, That Series. What a Lot Of People Forget, Is ThaT Mantle Missed That EnTire Series, As He Was Out, For Like The Last 2-2 And 1/2 Weeks, Of That Season, AnD The Yanks STiLL Thumped The Reds, 4 Games To One. I Live In Lima, Ohio (NorthWest Ohio,) And I Grew Up a HugE Tiger's Fan. UseD To LIsten To Ernie HarWell, On WJR, Out Of Detroit, AnD Watched Their TV Games, With George Kell, At ThE Mike. ThaT Season Rocky ColaVito Had 45 Homer's, AnD Norm CasH Had 41, AnD Led The League In HittinG, With a .361 Average, As The TiGer's Won 101 Games, But Still Finished 8 Games Behind, ThE PowerFuL YankS. Welcome to the thread. Hey I forgot the Mantle was out for that series. In my replay Ford was out most of the season and the burden fell on Ralph Terry to win game 7.

The good old days "the boys of summer" when I was a kid we played baseball almost 24 7 in the summer. Now kids sit around and play their Playstations what a waste of time lol
