Also, if the game doesn't have a certain fighter in a lower weight class (for example, Tracy Patterson doesn't appear in the game as a JFW, his weight class where he won his first title or Jorge Paez as a FW), John Dewey does a great job with fighters throughout Title Bout history in those given weight classes.
Ya know, I just got the new game and hadn't seen that. When I did a search, it just showed them at one class. But then I saw under ratings there are several...i guess I just need to click on "DEF" to make that the rating for that point.

Well that solved that issue

I'm finalizing the rosters and will be started with this in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the heads up. John Dewey has already provided several guys for me who were missing.

Manny is rated at Flyweight. Some of the guys aren't in all weight classes, Gatti for example. But many of them are.

Edit: I see this was already resolved.

Yeah, but thanks. Finishing my setup and expanded it to include WBO champs, too. Once it's set, I'll quick sim a year to give me ratings, then it will be on to the championship tournaments from there. It will also lead to the first batch of newcomers from a yet-to-bet determined 5-year period. That's in the hands of the random spreadsheet

Here's the setup: Initial batch is champs 1920 and earlier and 2000 and later. If someone won a belt before 2000 AND after 2000 they are grouped with their earliest belt/lightest weight class. So Mayweather and Pacquiao, for example, are not in the initial group since their first belts were before 2000.

Two tomato cans were added for each real-life fighter in a weight class.
Auto scheduler was set at (Total Fighters/2)*12. Some fighters that way will end up fighting more than others, but it gives a good initial record to start the uni from.

Mass bouts were scheduled for calendar year 2008, so we will pick up in Jan. 2009 with tournaments for belts and a more normal schedule.

Rankings are 10 fight minimum, so some guys have good records but haven't fought enough yet to be ranked.

Title tournaments will be top 4 per class. 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3, then title fight.

Think that's it. Let's get to division breakdowns as we start 2009 and ready for the tournaments.

Heavyweight Rankings

1. Vitali Klitschko (14-0-1, 13 KO)
2. Samuel Peter (17-2, 16 KO)
3. Jack Dempsey (13-1, 13 KO)
4. John L. Sullivan (15-3, 14 KO)
5. Nikolay Valuev (10-1, 9 KO)
6. Jack Johnson (13-2-1, 12 KO)
7. Sultan Ibragimov (9-2, 8 KO)
8. Oleg Maskaev (12-2, 12 KO)
9. Shannon Briggs (8-2, 8 KO)
10. Wladimir Klitschko (10-3, 9 KO)

Vitali is the only undefeated fighter at present. I decided I would use performance points as the sole rankings basis, at least to start. Here, the debatable victims are Jack Johnson and Nikolay Valuev. John L. Sullivan, who sits 15-3 with 14 KOs, lost his last two fights. Performance points-wise, he's #3. But you can make a case a guy who loses his last two fights (a knockout loss to Jess Willard (6-1, 5 KO) and a TKO shocker to Sultan Ibragimov) SHOULD drop in the rankings.

Another note for Sullivan, though, is that he's the only fighter in the heavyweight division who has moved to PRIME. He will get a chance to knock off Vitali in the first round of the tournament.

Vitali's draw came against Jack Johnson. Were it not for the draw, Johnson would probably have gotten the #4 slot and a tournament entry.

Tournament Pairings

Vitali Klitschko vs. John L. Sullivan
Samuel Peter vs. Jack Dempsey

Cruiserweight Rankings

1. Steve Cunningham (14-0, 7 KO)
2. David Haye (13-2, 8 KO)
3. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (13-2, 10 KO)
4. Giacobbe Fragomeni (13-4, 5 KO)
5. Kelvin Davis (12-4, 10 KO)
6. Jean-Marc Mormeck (8-2, 7 KO)
7. Victor Emilio Ramirez (8-3, 6 KO)
8. Juan Ramon Acevedo (9-5-1, 1 KO)
9. Valery Brudov (7-5, 6 KO)
10. Gordie Gallant (8-6-2)

A couple of tomato cans slip into the bottom as a bunch of real fighters haven't met the 10-fight minimum yet. But the tournament won't be influenced by that, as Steve Cunningham leads the way. He's fought Haye already, taking a unanimous decision Haye hopes he gets the chance to avenge.

Wayne Braithwaite is one fight away from cracking the rankings, where he'd currently be #4.

Tournament Pairings

Steve Cunningham vs Giacobbe Fragomeni
David Haye vs Krzysztof Wlodarczyk

Light Heavyweight Rankings

1. Philadelphia Jack O’Brien (16-0, 7 KO)
2. Gabriel Campillo (11-0, 4 KO)
3. Tomasz Adamek (11-2, 8 KO)
4. Georges Carpentier (10-1, 6 KO)
5. George Gardiner (10-1-1, 6 KO)
6. Silvio Branco (11-1, 6 KO)
7. Adrian Diaconu (9-1-1, 7 KO)
8. Chad Dawson (13-4, 8 KO)
9. Zsolt Erdei (12-4, 7 KO)
10. Battling Levinsky (11-4, 4 KO)

Surprised by the low KO percentages more than anything here. If you're looking for notables Antonio Tarver, Glen Johnson and Jack Dillon, they haven't fought the requisite 10 times yet.

Jack O'Brien has dominated so far, though some argue he hasn't fought anybody yet. The only ranked fighter on O'Brien's docket thus far is Chad Dawson, whom he beat by unanimous decision.

Adamek actually has the most impressive win of the top four, despite being the only one with multiple losses - a third round TKO over #5 George Gardiner.

Tournament Pairings

Jack O'Brien vs Georges Carpentier
Gabriel Campillo vs Tomasz Adamek

Middleweight Rankings

1. Billy Papke (20-0, 15 KO)
2. Nonpareil Jack Dempsey (15-1, 12 KO)
3. Frank Klaus (13-1, 3 KO)
4. Kelly Pavlik (10-1, 8 KO)
5. Bob Fitzsimmons (12-3, 11 KO)
6. Jermain Taylor (9-1, 3 KO)
7. Charles McCoy (9-2-1, 9 KO)
8. Arthur Abraham (9-3, 8 KO)
9. Johnny Wilson (13-5-1, 6 KO)
10. Mike O’Dowd (8-3-1, 2 KO)

The Middleweights' second undefeated fighter, Stanley Ketchel, has only fought 8 times - and won all 8 by knockout - keeping him out of the top 10 and ineligible for the initial tournament to declare the first champ.

Pavlik's only loss, ironically enough, is to Jermain Taylor.

Tournament Pairings

Billy Papke vs Kelly Pavlik
NP Jack Dempsey vs Frank Klaus

Jr. Middleweight Rankings

1. Sergio Martinez (16-0, 8 KO)
2. Kassim Ouma (13-0-1, 11 KO)
3. Winky Wright (12-0, 9 KO)
4. Alejandro Garcia (10-1, 10 KO)
5. Verno Phillips (10-2-2, 5 KO)
6. Travis Simms (7-3, 7 KO)
7. Brian East (7-2-1, 1 KO) *
8. Santiago Samaniego (11-5, 11 KO)
9. TMP Bagong (7-5) *
10. Ramon Hurtado (5-5-3, 3 KO) *

* denote tomato cans - several real fighters haven't fought enough to qualify, including 8-0 Roman Karmazin and 7-1 Joaquim Alcine and Sergio Mora.

Three undefeated fighters is the most of any class thus far.

Tournament Pairings

Sergio Martinez vs Alejandro Garcia
Kassim Ouma vs Winky Wright

Welterweight Rankings

1. Tommy Ryan (13-0, 11 KO)
2. Vernon Forrest (16-2, 11 KO)
3. Andre Berto (9-0-1, 8 KO)
4. Paul Williams (11-1, 6 KO)
5. Carlos Quintana (11-2, 7 KO)
6. Antonio Margarito (9-2, 9 KO)
7. Cory Spinks (9-2, 1 KO)
8. Tom McCormick (9-2, 4 KO)
9. Luis Collazo (12-3-1, 3 KO)
10. Michele Piccirillo (8-2, 5 KO)

All are at pre-prime here. Some feel the first round matchip of Ryan vs Williams will be the real title fight. Could see three great bouts to yield the champion here, as Forrest/Berto should be good as well before the bout for the belt.

Tournament Pairings

Tommy Ryan vs Paul Williams
Vernon Forrest vs Andre Berto

Jr. Welterweight

1. Amir Khan (15-2, 8 KO)
2. Carlos Maussa (11-1, 9 KO)
3. Ricky Hatton (12-2, 11 KO)
4. Lovemore N’dou (10-1, 10 KO)
5. Juan Urango (12-2, 11 KO)
6. Ricardo Torres (12-2, 11 KO)
7. Junior Witter (12-3-1, 9 KO)
8. Kendall Holt (9-2-2, 7 KO)
9. Paul Malignaggi (11-3-1, 3 KO)
10. DeMarcus Corley (7-2-1, 5 KO)

The top guy is actually Marcos Maidana (9-0, 8 KO), but he's a fight short of eligibility. Despite his #3 ranking, Hatton is probably the favorite here.

Tournament Pairings
Amir Khan vs Lovemore N'dou
Carlos Maussa vs Ricky Hatton

Lightweight

1. Jack McAuliffe (17-1, 17 KO)
2. Benny Leonard (13-1, 8 KO)
3. Jose Luis Castillo (12-0, 11 KO)
4. Juan Diaz (14-2-1, 4 KO)
5. Paulus Moses (16-3-2, 14 KO)
6. Julio Diaz (10-1, 8 KO)
7. Joe Gans (10-1, 5 KO)
8. David Diaz (11-2-1, 8 KO)
9. Freddie Welsh (11-3, 1 KO)
10. Battling Nelson (7-2-1, 5 KO)

Despite the fact that McAuliffe's lone loss came at the hands of the undefeated Jose Luis Castillo, McAuliffe gets the #1 slot. Benny Leonard's one loss came to Julio Diaz, who will be outside looking in on what should be an exciting rush to the title.

Tournament Pairings

Jack McAuliffe vs Juan Diaz

Jr. Lightweight

1. Cassius Baloyi (15-0-1, 11 KO)
2. Yodsanan Nanthachai (9-1, 7 KO)
3. Joel Casamayor (9-1-1, 7 KO)
4. Jesus Chavez (9-2, 8 KO)
5. Carlos Alberto Hernandez (9-2, 7 KO)
6. Edwin Valero (8-2, 8 KO)
7. Jorge Barrios (11-4-1, 10 KO)
8. Malcolm Klassen (10-4, 5 KO)
9. Mzonke Fana (9-4, 7 KO)
10. Mike Anchondo (9-4, 7 KO)

The other undefeated fighter, Robbie Peden, is 9-0, thus missing the 10-fight minimum. He would be the #2 seed. Baloyi's draw was a technical draw against a tomato can. Chavez's two losses came against his two possible opponents for the belt: Nanthachai knocked him out in the 7th, and Casamayor took a unanimous decision. But he'd have to get past Baloyi first.

Tournament Pairings

Cassius Baloyi vs Jesus Chavez
Yodsanan Nanthachai vs Joel Casamayor

Featherweight

1. Juan Manuel Marquez (12-1-1, 10 KO)
2. Steven Luevano (12-1-1, 6 KO)
3. Eric Aiken (12-1, 10 KO)
4. Young Corbett II (14-2, 9 KO)
5. Frank Erne (14-3, 10 KO)
6. Orlando Salido (14-3, 9 KO)
7. Frankie Toledo (9-1, 1 KO)
8. Scott Harrison (10-2, 5 KO)
9. Solly Smith (8-2, 5 KO)
10. Robert Guerrero (10-2, 7 KO)

Marquez leads the way here among what's been a bit of a surprising class. Marco Antonio Barrera is one fight from qualifying at 7-1-1 with 7 KO. Abe Attell is 8-2 yet not in the top 10. Marquez's loss was an 8th round TKO loss to #9 Solly Smith. Luevano's loss was to a TC. Aiken's was a UD loss to #8 Scott Harrison. Of most note, though, is that both of Corbett's losses were to his first round opponent - Juan Manuel Marquez - a 7th round TKO and a split decision. He hopes third time is the charm.

Tournament Pairings

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Young Corbett II
Steven Luevano vs Eric Aiken

1. Celestino Caballero (12-0, 11 KO)
2. Somsak Sithchatchawal (13-0, 11 KO)
3. Joan Guzman (10-0, 10 KO)
4. Yober Ortega (14-2, 14 KO)
5. Oscar Larios (10-0, 10 KO)
6. Salim Medjkoune (13-1-1, 7 KO)
7. Israel Vazquez (11-1, 9 KO)
8. Clarence Adams (14-4, 8 KO)
9. Ricardo Cordoba (11-2, 8 KO)
10. Toshiaki Nishioka (12-4, 9 KO)

Four undefeated fighters, but one doesn't crack the title tournament. Oscar Larios is 10-0, has knocked out everyone, but hasn't fought a single ranked fighter. Bones Adams already having 4 losses is a bit of a surprise, though three have come to others in the Top 10.

Tournament Pairings

Celestino Caballero vs Yober Ortega
Somsak Sithchatchawal vs Joan Guzman

Bantamweight

1. Paulie Ayala (14-0-1, 2 KO)
2. Jimmy Barry (19-1, 12 KO)
3. Terry McGovern (11-0, 11 KO)
4. Johnny Bredahl (18-4, 9 KO)
5. Cruz Carbajal (14-4, 9 KO)
6. Wladimir Sidorenko (12-2, 1 KO)
7. Julio Zarate (10-1, 4 KO)
8. Pete Herman (10-2, 3 KO)
9. Veeraphol Sahaprom (9-2, 7 KO)
10. Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym (11-3, 9 KO)

The light-punching Paulie Ayala leads the Bantamweights, though a fight between him and McGovern would be a very interesting one to see. Despite Cruz Carbajal having beating Bredahl in their most recent fight, Bredahl stays ahead in the rankings, which is sure to send Carbajal into a rage.

Tournament Pairings

Paulie Ayala vs Johnny Bredahl
Jimmy Barry vs Terry McGovern

9. Nobuo Nashiro (11-3, 10 KO)

Many doubt Mijares will be able to withstand Lopez's power in their first round matchup. Perez vs Hernandez shouldn't go the distance.

1. Jimmy Wilde (13-0-1, 12 KO)
2. Percy Jones (12-2, 8 KO)
3. Omar Narvaez (11-2, 7 KO)
4. Lorenzo Parra (12-2, 12 KO)
5. Pongsaklek Wongjongkam (10-2, 6 KO)
6. Eric Morel (10-3, 7 KO)
7. Fernando Montiel (8-3-1, 6 KO)
8. Denkaosan Kaovichit (6-5, 2 KO)
9. Joe Symonds (5-6-1, 2 KO)
10. Mariano Ybarra (8-5, 5 KO)

Wilde is the class here, but Parra's power could pose a first round problem for him. Wilde's draw was a tech. draw vs. a tomato can. #6 Eric Morel lost three of his first five but has now rattled off 8 straight wins.

Tournament Pairings

Jimmy Wilde vs Lorenzo Parra
