That is a really wierd OP. That's all I will say. Most people seem to find beating the AI to be relatively easy.

Then I must be doing something wrong because I keep getting my ass stomped. Last game I played my starter gave up 7 runs in the top of the 1st. But then I don't have a winning record in the other game I play, either.

Well I started the season 1-8. Looks like Ill never being playing this game again. Athough the computer didnt cheat last game and I won 19-2 plus they cheated with my 1920 White Sox because there was no way I shouldnt have won every game. 98-54 is just not right.

Last night, my starter gave up 9 runs in the first inning and my team gave up 22 in the game....

I have to say that X is kicking my butt, too. I have a league that I've been running since 6.x, and my team just came off losing the World Series last year (in OOTP9). In the converted league, I'm playing .267 ball after the first month. Granted, my team is getting old and expensive, so I expected some falloff, but not this much.
I think it has more to do with adjusting to the new pitching model than anything else. |

Luckily OOTP pitchers have permanent amnesia and wont be psychologically scared by getting bombed. It saves my bullpen from getting overworked.

I expect a number of shellings will generate a morale reaction eventually, although the effect is likely minimal.

I actually agree with the OP.
I had a league where the Brooklyn Dodgers started 22-25 but then the computer was all "BAM!" and they ended up winning the NL pennant. First time I'd ever won a pennant. Wait... that's the same, right? |

I know I do. I have set everything to hard for my fictional league, turned off current ratings, and have set some serious house rules as far as the waiver wire and signing of free agents. |

Markus totally gets off on programming his game to beat people. He snuck in all these cheat codes so the computer will win, and then the game beams the scores back to him and he sits in his mansion in Germany, snickering at all the suckers who paid 40 bucks to get totally reamed by a machine. Haha loosers!!1

Yes me too. I'm not a very good manager or GM for that matter. My teams normally get shellacked but it's baseball you win some, you lose some. Its a long season.
Leave the house? Who would think of such a thing? |
