Steve, I closed this thread and emailed you, but adding here for completeness. Cras suggests a comment in the manual may be supportive. Thanks!

Added a note to this effect in the manual.

CH, can you find where this is? I've been searching, but I can't seem to find this reference! A little bleary-eyed at this point.

Updated, thanks. We grabbed a new screenshot for many pages, and failed to recognize that it was referred to in the body of the text!

Yes, waiver trades are allowed. I need to get some documentation in there about that...

OOTP Baseball Manual - Overall Rating

At that page you say "By default, overall ratings are based primarily on statistics, using the AI Player Evaluation Options set on the AI Options page." But now with the overall rating option isn't the default that overall is based only on ratings?

You're right neo. There's a little confusion there. See http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...31-post23.html

Steve'll make it all right, before you know it, now that the info's here.

The Salary Arbitration screenshot is incorrect as it still refers to player's demand as default figure.

See BZ 2549 for issue.

The using the draft list example at the bottom of this page just stops and goes onto the next topic.

The text at OOTP Baseball Manual - Customizable Playoffs for Customizable Playoffs does not correspond to the sample image.

Links to examples of specific reports result in 404 Errors:

Is there a page number on the screen and I'm overlooking it? All I have is the link itself to offer up for change. I'd check any link beginning with _samples_

Thanks!

On the Strategy & Equivalencies Page:

About halfway down just above the table for Sabermetric Player Creation Modifiers, there is a bad link.

If you press F1 while reviewing Team Statistics at League Leaders & Statistics it brings up a page for Box Score.

Actually, this might be more of a bug. It seems that after you manage a game and view the Box Score, this screen will come up all over the place when you hit F1.

FA draft pick compensation is incorrectly described in the manual.

The manual refers ONLY to supplementary sandwich pick for type As, rather than a compensatory 1st or 2nd pick being transferred from the signing team to the former team.

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...pensation.html

My suggestion would be something like this (some of which is copied from others' posts from the above thread):

Free Agent Compensation

Type A free agent = The team losing the free agent gets the other team's first round pick as well as a sandwich round pick. (With the exception of if the first round pick is in the top half of the draft, in which case they would get a second round pick instead).

Type B free agent = sandwich round pick only.

There is a formula similar to the Elias one but probably not exactly the same that does compute who the top free agents at each position are in order to rank the Type A or B classifications.

Where more than one FA signed

In real MLB, if two Type As are signed by the same team, what should happen is the higher ranked Type A free agent based on the scoring system should reward the first round pick, while the other gets a second round pick. In OOTP it is based off of which free agent one signs first.

Interaction with Draft Pick Trading

If draft pick trading is enabled then if a pick is traded away beforehand it is not available for FA compensation.
