It was obvious the guy was poking fun at all the threads that pop up before release asking about a release date. I don't see where it was poking fun at any individual.

It's the same as the post on May 1 saying..It's May 1, where's the game.

Jeez, try to have a bit of fun on here.

Now, having said all that watch the OP come on and tell us he was dead serious.
I appreciate the fact that you spent that much time explaining this to me. I didn't understand it the first time.

It wasn't necessarily targeted at you, even though it was your post I responded to.

Who is Zach Galifianakis?

And might I take this opportunity to say just how far you've come over the years, Styx. There was a time I believed your avatar was actually what you looked like.

I'm not sure of your intent there but I have been using the internet since before the AOL days and it didn't take me long to discover that my sense of humor comes across very badly in settings like forums and IM programs where people don't know me, so I just don't feel overly comfortable using humor too much.

Actually, i was actually surprised to see your contributions were much more along the line of awesome than what I remember your post's being when I frequented the board last year. It seems like quite a turnaround to me too

Ah, geez. I thought my "unsure" face would have cleared that up, Styx. My intent is always this: I mean no harm. You've always added a bit of an extra dimension to the boards, both with your responses and your threads. Seriously.

Well thanks. There are a few people on here that I feel ok joking around with and I am getting to know more people better now and I don't have anything against anyone (even those who I've done battle with recently) so if I say something that sounds like I'm stabbing, I'm not.

I don't mind people messing with me, I don't take stuff personal. I wouldn't dish stuff out if I wasn't able to take it too.

Hard as it may to believe to some here, IRL, between family and work, I am always being told I don't take things serious enough.

Oh, BTW, what makes you think this isn't how I look?

And for those who aren't aware, the vernal equinox transitions into the summer solstice @ 1:45 A.M. EDT on June 21, 2009...

(...So sometime between now and then... )

Sounds like a Rangers fan. This sort of post should be expected. Relax. While you wait for OOTP why don't you see if your cousin is free for a date.

Honestly, how long would it take Markus to post "hey dudes, i am releasing it in a week" Ravinhood preordered. he put money down. He wants to know why he hasn't gotten what he was told he would get.

Markus works hard, no doubt, but he shouldn't run his mouth getting people's expectations piqued because this is what happens. Markus would have been better off saying nothing at all. Stop being a bunch of sad fanboys and defending Maruks blindly!
Well I guess we defend him because we have been with him longer and we know in the end he delivers..

Angry Where is my game

I agree with him on this one. I think it's a ripoff that we are mid-may now and OOTP10 is still not out, I haven't pre-ordered this and I will not simply because I brought action Baseball 2009. OOTP10 I am sure is going to be a good game but honestly their not being fair like this to everyone who preordered this game. Like I said before we are in mid may now and everyone has to keep waiting for this game. He is right this is a complete joke. OOTP developments used to be dependable but lately their lack of updates on their games is really been bad. I don't mean to be criticizing markus but you guys do need to start communicating better with everyone on your games, just let us know that your working on the games and that you haven't forgotten about all of us.

What part of this are people failing to understand? It is still May, is it not?

Yeah true but.......

As I stated earlier, IMO the game will most likely be released the last Friday of May which is the 29th. And that's being optimistic on my part.

It's just too bad that the game will not be released this upcoming holiday weekend with it being the Memorial Day weekend. The upcoming hoilday weeked would be an ideal time for a lot of folks to get immersed in the game. Kick the wheels and tires so to speak.

But it ain't getting released anytime soon so why bother to gripe about it? I personally would rather have a complete version that a version that requires patching. I just think in the future OOTP should take advantage to the start of the baseball season and release the game then. Just my
