I also believe a Cal McLish who was a longtime RH reliever. Pitched once lefty when in the minors.

By the way, Venditte picked up his 5th save last night, allowing one hit.

So how does this work? Is the pitcher switching gloves every time he decides to throw with the other hand? Does he keep the extra glove behind the mound?

He has a six-fingered glove, it has a thumb hole on each side. You just flip it around to change hands. I'd quite like to own one actually, but I'm guessing they're expensive.

Interesting! Since this is the case I dont like the rule where the pitcher has to decide before the AB which hand he is going to throw with. I think the Pitcher should get to pitch which whatever hand he wants whenever he wants since he is the position to make the first move. |

Hey the way the Yankees pitching is this year. The could use him to eat up the innings. (they could use 2 arms for the price of one player.

Hate to triple post, but another stats update:
25 games, 28.0 IP, 2-1, 0.64 ERA, 20 saves (a 13 game save streak), only 2 ER allowed, 1 walk and 38 Ks. He's also in the SAL All-Star team. I'm guessing that he'll get promoted after the SAL All-Star game. |

Venditte is almost a everyday reliever...since he is switch pitching
it is amazing to see him in OOTP 10, but it is sad that he basically suck in the game(Big League scout have evaluate Venditte the same way, but come on..5 er in 2yrs, I know he pitch slow, but look at Hoffman, Trevor doesn't pitch that fast either. as long as he have a decent breaking ball, it is good to give him a chance) There is even a Pat Venditte Rule... |

I agree that you don't need overpowering velocity to succeed. His left handed slider has been devestating so far in single A.
