Oh well. I get 'page not found' when I try to reach the GIMP page, and can't open any of the flag images I found on Wiki.

Try Paint.net. Free download. Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing

GIMP is more powerful but for almost all jerseys, Paint.net will do. I'm happy with it. For cutting and pasting and basic coloring, it works great.

OK, I finally did manage to get GIMP and the brilliant Deft template. After about an hour of playing around, here is my very first fictional foreign country uniform.

The sleeves are not good because I still haven't been able to figure out how to do a color fill. I want the sleeves to be the same shade of red as the front panel, but anyway...

Thanks for your patience and your advice, guys!

This just shows that if somebody as artistically inept as me can create jerseys and caps, anybody can.

I'll have to contact Padresfan to see if he'll host them. In the meantime, I can put them on Photobucket.

The uniforms and caps are all done. I'm working on the color codes for the team logos (which are the coats of arms). That just takes a little trial and error but shouldn't take long.

If there are countries anybody wants added, let me know.

That's a good first effort, Antonin. The more you do, the better you get (as in most things). I already went back and tweaked some I did at the start of this project. That's why the layers are so great - you can, for example, go back and change the color of the collar without changing anything else.

I'm not a GIMP expert, but there an eyedropper that picks up a color (from a flag, for example) and a paintbucket fill tool that will then fill in an area (such as a sleeve) with that color.

Well...technically Wales is not a country...but I checked it out and their flag is COOL!

I'm uploading the jerseys and caps onto Photobucket so they'll be available. When they're all done I'll zip them and see if Padresfan can host them. I'll post a link when I'm done.

Also, I'd forgotten to post pictures for the Latin American countries but they are done as well.

I did two versions for Wales - one has a smaller dragon - I thought that might look better.

Thanks. It turns out I had more than I thought once I gathered them all together.

I've put jerseys, caps, and logos for 105 countries (plus Wales) on my Photobucket site.

Country Jerseys, Caps, and Logos in three separate albums.

Let me know if you have any problems. I think (hope) I named them correctly.

Country_XXXXXX_YYYYYY for the logos
jerseys_Country for the jerseys
caps_logo_Country_XXXXXX_YYYYYY for the caps

I'll probably add a few more countries. I think I have 23 countries in Africa and you can't have 23 in any decent league.

Keep going on these, they're great. I would love to see a zip file of the most prominent countries in the world because I've been planning on making a world baseball league after I get bored with my current fantasy league.

Does anyone know if there is a place I can get the flags in logo form? I wouldn't be able to use the flag uniforms if I didn't have a matching logo.

I don't know if anyone has already made a full set of these. I tried making a couple last night with truth's template and they looked alright.

These aren't my top priority right now though, since I'm working on League 1/League 2 jerseys. If anyone wants to take this idea and run with it, I'd be glad to help them get started/pitch in logos.

They look great, cnield! My logos are not flags so they don't match the uniforms. I went with the country coats of arms for good or for bad. And I've spent enough time on graphics for now. I'm trying to get all my leagues to interact well. I want foreign players to start with their national teams and then if they do well get a contract from an MLB (or independent team). It's hard to get the PCMs right because I want some foreign players in MLB but I don't want to sim 30 years and have a ton of them. It's a work in progress...

Please post these uniforms to PadresFan! If these were only available a couple of weeks ago, I could used them in my World of Baseball 2009, perhaps maybe for Version 2?

Also, cnield, please keep doing the country flags for logos, because I think they would match beautifully with the uniforms created by tombair!
