Cito Gaston peak at 26
Eric Milton was pretty good until he turned 26
Jimmy Haynes went from a 105 era+ to completely useless in one season.
More names:
Eric Hinske, Jerome Walton, Dontrelle Willis, Scott Rolen, Bobby Crosby, Clint Barmes, Nomar Garciaparra dropped from 28 to 9 homers between his 29th and 30th year seasons, Juan Pierre...

The overall trend is gradual improvement then decline when all players in the league are averaged out. However each and every individual player takes his own path, and often those paths are very bumpy, with or without injury as an excuse. Dont confuse trends as a whole, with what happens IRL to specific ball players.

Changing the player aging modifiers is probably a better choice. Maybe try .5 and see if you like the results. I use .70 for my leagues, even though I think the default settings are more realistic.

Looks I messed up the "quote" feature...
Edit your second quote and add a / between the [ and the q.

It's still the exception, not the norm. For the most part, players don't fall off the face of the earth before 35 (especially not now). In this game, it is automatic to see a player collapse before the age of 35. Most of these collapses are not slow, but dramatic. MVPs being released in a year or two and so on.

No one is saying that the examples you provided don't exist (although I'd say injuries play a huge role in the dramatic collapses of some ballplayers). We're just saying that this is extremely common and it would be nice to see some star players in the game in their mid to late 30's like we do in real life.
