APBA? Gee, your giving away your age but I've got you beat. I cut my teeth on Strat-0-matic. I played APBA too but still preferred the older game as the outcomes were quicker and easier to assess.

Yes, it is a dream league and more than that its "turn key" and ready to go because The Greats League includes 36 dream teams. Each team is taken from an era closely associated with its all-time best won/loss record. This has allowed me to create great teams and yet keep most of the all time great players in the Free Agent pool where GM's have to bid on their services.

My only problem now is that I don't have a link to a site that can host this amazing league file. I need about 15MB for this purpose. I'm sure there will be somebody who can help with this. It took me nearly two years to create this database. There is literally hundreds, if not thousands of hours of work on this project.

In any case, I will find a way to get this into everybody's hands because I know how much true lovers of the game will appreciate playing with histories best!

I have sent three emails to the PadreFan. Maybe he's on vacation. We'll have to wait. You might send him an email too. For now, I'm going to load the league file into OOTP8 and start playing. The league files are formatted in OOTP 6.5 which means it will work for both 2007 and 2008 versions.

My team is the Brooklyn Bridgegrooms (Dodgers) with Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Gil Hodges, and Roy Campanella. Trouble is the pitching sucks and I have to spend the bucks getting a good staff together. You can't win in this league without good pitching, clutch hitting - power helps to overcome 2/3 run deficits and a good bullpen that does not tire out is imperative to hang on and nail things down. Playing in this league can be very frustrating and is not for "poor sports" who hate to lose as I do! I must confess, I cheat!

Where do I find "mod uploads?" Give me some pointers and you will soon be playing the 1940's Red Sox and beating your head out trying to beat the 1930's Philadelphia Stars or the 1998 NY Yanks. Or, you can play the 2002 Red Sox in the AL West against the Angels, Mariners, and Oakland A's. Yes, you can choose your poison - old timers or newcomers. Of course, you can play both!

written him several times and received no response. What makes you think this will work? How long does it take him to read his email and post the file?

Also, how can I put a link on in my message to refer others to his site?

By the way, the 2002 Red Sox in the AL West go by the name of Sacramento Bees.

Well, let me know if you hear or see anything. the file name is "Spanky All Time Greats v1." We'll worry about the link after the file is posted. I would have preferred to post it here in the forum. Oh well. Let me know what you think of it after you get a chance to play with it.

If you would like a zipped copy of this amazing league file (approx 15MB) leave me your name and email address here in this forum and, as I have time to do so, I will email you with an attachment of the league file.

If possible, embed a link to your email address in your reply to this message. This will make it easier and quicker for me to respond.

I'm usually at my computer in the evenings, so if you leave a request during business hours, don't expect a reply until then.
