Rashad McCants with 23 for the T'Wolves tonight. Only one game, but a good sign that he's finally fully recovered from his microfracture surgery.
Lakers beat Phoenix by 21 while only getting 16 (and 11 boards) from Kobe. |

The T-Wolves have some nice pieces with Foye, McCants, Jefferson, and Brewer.

Jefferson will be good, but he's not going to be the best player on a good team. Meanwhile, the Celtics looked pretty good last night. I don't care if they don't win a championship in the next three years. Just seeing them compete and be relevant makes the deals worth it for me. I can finally enjoy the NBA again.

Raptors embarrassed New Jersey. Would have been better if they did that last playoffs. I hope the Raps continue last season's uprise. I don't mind following the team now that Coangelo is in place.

I live in the UK and I was wondering if there is anyway for me to get radio coverage of the games i.e. mlb.com/nfl field pass for the NBA?

I already miss Big Al, but it is what it is. I'll be rooting the Celtics on this year like every year, so go team.

The Bulls are 0-3. Needless to say this is not what we expected...

TJ Ford ties it with a 3 with 4.4 left and Ray Allen hits a 3 at the buzzer for the Celtics win.
Boy, this is going to be a fun rivalry. |

You must fear the Knicks. They manhandled . . . well, they beat . . . the Timberwolves, a team that was only one game worse than them last season. Fear the Knicks!

Here's what I fear about the Knicks: that they'll be just good enough to make the playoffs, and therefore force me to suffer through 3-4 more games of them than necessary
.As far as Chicago goes: I refuse to believe that a team with that much talent is going to shoot that badly for long -- but Ben Wallace needs to start rebounding better, or they will be in trouble. Last edited by Bryan Swartz; 11-04-2007 at 10:29 PM. |

I'm pretty sure the Bulls sucked the first 10-15 games of last season as well. They need to stop these slow starts though, gonna cost them a couple of spots in the seedings.

They have two big men that can score points and body people into the paint. The biggest issue in NY is a consistent outside shooter, which is why I'd never say they could win a championship until they get one. But the two big men (not many teams in the East have that) is a great advantage. Their defense overall is still lacking so they'll be in nail biters all season. They'll have trouble coming back late in games because they don't have a real scorer -they'll win the games Crawford comes to (ie: Win last night. Nail biter with Crawford scoring 24). But the team is better than last season. And Marbury is going to lose his starting spot before the season is over. |

The Knicks are definitely better, but I think they're pretty clearly the 4th best team in the division, so hard to imagine they're going to make the playoffs.
The Atlantic is looking pretty nice. Philly's not very good, but they're not going to roll over for anyone either. |

God I hope not, if they decide to roll over they might not win 10 games.

Raptors played as bad as they could in that game, was shocked they took them to Overtime. Big minutes for the big three, will be quite interesting to see how they hold up.
