Count me among your fans. I regularly visited Metro Leagues to see what was up. Your site set a very high standard for all of us who like alternate fictional leagues.

Best wishes on the Football version of Metro. I'm glad you will continue to play the league out. Do you think that you could post a synopsis on the board from time to time?

Sorry to hear that the Metro will be no more here on the forum.

The Metro and Laseron were my all-time favorite leagues.

They inspired me to do logos, uniforms and stadiums for my ill-fated Alltime Allstar Association. Hard drive failure did that league in. Sadly, I had not backed up the last few seasons and didn't have the heart to do them over.

I intended to post the Ruthlandian-Tycobbian league on my website, but like you it just takes too much time to do that with the other things I am involved in.

Anyway, the Metro League site was wonderful and I will miss it.

But I understand your reasons for ending it.

Enjoy your football fantasy.

Is there any way we can follow it?
Howdy Eugene,

Thanks for following the Metros and for your understanding. It was fun while it lasted online.

If you wish you can follow my solo football league here...

Metro Football League

I also place an update note in the league thread on the following forum here...

Thanks for being a fan of the league, RchW. Perhaps in the future I'll post the champions and the final standings on my site.

Two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar.

All for the Easton Barons, stand up and holler.

Go Barons.

How odd... I was just trying to find the pages and see how things were going. Yeah, I'm obviously a bit out of touch these days.

Going to miss it. It was a great league and one of the first that I ever bookmarked.

Jon,

I'm really happy to see you're finally doing a football league. It stinks that it comes at the online demise of the Metros.

For those who don't know, a lot of the players in the Metros have been around the online community for well over ten years now. I know them from the MLEB, an online league from nine years ago that used FPS: BBPro 98, which was my introduction to online leagues.

Some of those players ended up in my ABL. Jon's leagues had that kind of impact on me.

I'm looking forward to following this Metros football league. Should be awesome.

Thanks, Jon, for everything you've done in this community.

-John

Thanks, John C.

Good to here from you. I see you're still invloved in online leagues. Thanks for keeping up with the Metros and for all of your encouragement, advice and good questions over the years. I'm happy you will be following Metro Football, as well.
