Edit: No, looks like it's only coming into effect if more leagues are added after the deletion. Deleting "middle" leagues doesn't leave their ASG behind. Quote:

It's certainly possible that e.g. playoff games would be similarly affected, but they're not on the schedule yet when the league deletion occurs. Actually, now I kinda wonder if Spring Training games might break it...Edit: Nevermind, just realized that affiliated minors don't have spring training. You're welcome.

This thread just made me a bit dizzy.
![]() Is this what I ought to be logging? "When you add leagues, and then delete them again, the ASGs are first cleared properly. However, once you add another new league, the ASGs from the previously deleted leagues make a comeback for some reason, and at that point they're impossible to get out of the schedule. Even deleting the second round of league additions will only clear those leagues' ASGs, not the phantom games from the first set of leagues." |

It looks like Zeyes spoke to it directly in what you've quoted, but I'll confess I am as dizzy as you are on this one. I agree with what you've posted, Nutlaw. I would, as I think is your practice, reference the thread of course. Thanks.

Yes. I'm not sure I can put it any more comprehensible than that, but here's a try:
When you delete a league that has games scheduled, the games will remain listed in world.dat but be made "inactive". When you then add another league, some of those inactive games (namely all All-Star Games, but possibly even more types) will become active again, leading to a lockup as soon as OOTP tries to play those games within their non-existent league. |

Hex
I have read the fixes for the problem for not advancing to the next day because it is looking for a phantom all-star game. I currently the same problem but have no idea on how to HEX edit the World.DAT file. If somebody could break it down a little more that would be a huge help. I was able to find the game/id in the league file but no idea on how to relate that to the World file.
Any help would be appreciated Thanks |

Anyway, once you have it installed, open the world.dat from your savegame. Under the Tools menu you'll find the Base Converter...set it to Byte Order: Intel, and Data Type: Short, and enter the game-id in the decimal field. You'll get the equivalent in hexadecimal, which you can then copy-paste into the Find function (Ctrl+F; set it to type: Hex Values if it isn't already). As mentioned in the other post you've already read, you'll probably have a few unrelated hits early in the file, but the correct one will be toward the end. Then change the byte I indicated in the screenshot in the other post. Does that help? |

I downloaded the hex editor, followed your instructions and found 48 instances of the code that represents the game id. I am assuming the hex code has to be together in 1 block so that eliminates most, still having trouble finding which one I am supposed to edit.

There's one clue that you've found the correct instance: If you look back at the screenshot in the other post, you'll see that the block I marked starts with 1B41, and the block right afterwards starts with 1C41 (one number higher...just trust me on that, I know the order of the digits looks like that's not the case). It's exactly 155 bytes from one block to the next, so if you can spot the same thing for your game-id, you've got the right one.
Anyway, I can't guarantee it but I think odds are good that the instance you're looking for will be the last one in the file. Edit: BTW, if you mean by "in one block" that it needs to be e.g. "1B41 0000" rather than "001B 4100", that's not the case; the spaces are just a formatting convention in the editor to make things more readable. I searched all of the instances and didn't see aything sequential, here is a screen shot of my last 2 that came up. Would it be possible to send the World.Dat file to see if I am just over looking something?

worked great for me, if I recreate a college league, should I delete the AS game right off the bat?

This has been claimed fixed for the third patch, as yet unreleased. If you continue to see this problem after patching, please post as such in Tech Support along with the above TT number. Thanks.
