i have downloaded the game and it is impossible to play. crashes everytime. I understand these things happen. But i have posted it on here and havent gotten anywhere. I am just going to wait for a few more patches i guess. But it seems like there is quite a few people who have problems with the game.

After the second time of playing that full week of results, it pissed me off. I searched this forum for similiar problems and came across several errors this game has had. I am an avid stat game player, FM2006-7, etc. There's nothing wrong with my system and the OS is up-to-date. So, if any of you loud mouth jerk offs want to continue with your ridcule, have at it. If any of you others have some kinda fix for this, I'd appreciate it, otherwise, I'll ask for refund.
BTW, that's not the only problem I've had, but it is irratating to watch a weeks worth of games flushed and then have to replay them again. TWICE!
Also, why the hell does my set lineups keep changing?

Trolling by AB, imagine that.

Ohh btw, looks like someone has the same problem (mike lowe - game crashes after boxscore, same as my problem.)

Once again we understand about your problems, but the issue is, you haven't given us enough information about your PC to help us narrow it down? Is it a PC? MAC?

How big is the hard drive? How much is free? How much RAM Do you have in it? Do you have a video/sound card or are they integrated? Are you multitasking while playing or are you just playing the game? Do you have a media player going while you play, streaming video or sound, etc..

We really don't have the info that we need to help you narrow it down. And Marc Duffy has said in the past without you giving us enough information to narrow down issues and allowing us to help you fix the issue, there is not a venue for refunds.

FM and OOTP are two different programs. FM plays and uses memory different than OOTP does, and you cannot compare the two.

SO please before you receive a warning for not following the company rules, just ignore the people that are close to getting a warning themselves and concentrate on helping us help you find out the base issues to get you playing again. Also you can zip up your game folder as well when we ask for it to check your game out for the issues you are hinting about.

More detailed info, more breakdown on what you do while playing OOTP, the time of year in the game, does this work with default rosters, or a third party roster mod, etc.

We will be looking forward to MUCH more info to help you solve the issues you are having.

FM plays, too. It is the game and I could give a flyin if you help me or not... it's obvious by the many posts this game has problems. I didn't pay my hard earned money to fund a developement program. I payed for a game that was supposedly working. Do you commonly buy things that are broke and say ' oh well, it's broke, I lose'. No, you whine just like me or your friggen idiot.
Now, for those that wish to help, here is what I'm seeing, I can not get past a certain point in the game, it crashes everytime I try to play this one game. I get a 00tp2007.exe error. I have checked the line-ups, I have repaired the game but it continues to crash at the same point in the game. I could just as easily stop playing this Save and start over but I spent alot of time setting this particular one up and would like to play it. I have a 3rd party with actual 2006 players and it runs fine, or atleast it has.

AMD Athlon 3200
2048 Ram

I guess your choosing to ignore the above comments

Its really not fair to say the game is broken, when alot of people, like my self, have had zero problems.

Why don't you try reading the end of my rant. I answered those questions for you. If you need more info, I will provide. I'm not wanting a refund as much as I would like a fix but reading all these bugs makes me feel like we were taken by a half arse production of an advertised real deal game. I do like the game, I don't like paying for development.

Dinger, can you tell us what kind of setup you have in your league/universe? There have been some settings that conflict with eachother in the past and had to be addressed. You could go one better and...

Upload your league's .dat files and give us a step by step on how to achieve the same crashes. Utilizing your game file and your steps, Markus could find the issue and fix it a lot faster than us trying to figure out how to help.

I have more information but we need more I hate to say. Plus you could send the .lg folder and zip them up and send them to us to try and recreate the error as well. Here is the guidelines for ftp'ing the files to us.

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=141258

What information should I include when I report a bug?
First, make sure you are using the latest available version of the game. If you are still experiencing the problem, please do your best to provide the following information:

1. What, specifically, were you doing when the problem occurred? Include the specific screen you were on when the problem occurred.

2. What happened? Was there an error message? If so, what was the specific message?

3. Were you able to repeat the error with this same game? With another new game? If so, what steps did you take?

4. If relevant, what do you think the program should have done?

5. What is your league configuration (fictional/historical, etc.)

6. Are you a Mac or PC user?

Additionally, if your problem is related to system performance, memory utilization, or the like, please include details about your computer's hardware and operating system. If your problem has to do with FaceGen, please include information about your video card.

Sample Problem Description
Version:
2.0.0.235
PC/MAC: PC
What were you doing? I was trying to use the View drop-down on the Roster page
What happened? When I selected the "Batting Stats" view, the game crashed.
What else were you doing while playing OOTP? I was listening to music while playing the game.
Reproducible? Yes
Problem occurs with other leagues? Yes
Is this using the default roster or a roster mod?

As you can tell we need a lot more information than we have now. Please use the above information to give us a rounded well-informed idea of what happened, what you tried, and what was going on besides the game when the errors happened.

We await your next reply of course!

I understand the aggrevation at having a game crash and loosing progress. And I even understand the venting. What I don't understand is continuing to rip apart the game and community when they all respond in consensus that the issue is not the game, but a hardware/software setup. But alas...this is the human condition.
