Scheduling question/suggestion for '08 maybe?

You get to have the series be whatever length you want, schedule as many (or as few) days off and doubleheaders as you want, make sure big rivalry games go at crucial points in the season, make sure that weekend and holiday games are matinees, that there are always doubleheaders on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day… and the beat goes on (electrically they keep a baseball score).

Make no mistake ... OOTPs scheduler sucks the big rock. If you have a league setup that is not covered by any of the real schedules included with the game and have to rely on a custom schedule, OOTP will give you one where everyone plays on the same day. Starter 1 will always face Starter 1, Starter 3 will always face Starter 3, everyone will have the same day off, there will never be any half-game differences in the standings ... the failings go on and on.

This isn't a problem if you do have a setup that's covered by one of the real schedules included with the game, and there are a lot of them ... but, if you don't, you are much better off making your own from scratch and importing it.
