RHP Brian Moehler who is 1-0 with a 4.60 ERA this spring goes up against the Yanks today. I hope he can be a decent pitcher this year. That could help Houston out alot. Whats the rotation look like right now?

1.Oswalt(2-1 3.05)
2. Jennings(1-1 5.79)
3. Williams(0-3 9.92)
4. Moehler(1-0 4.60)
5. Nieve(1-1 2.81)/Rodriguez(0-0 5.40)

What do ya'll think?

Looks like Humberto Quintero is taking the back-up catcher job.

Well. Oswalt is an ace. We all know that. Jennings pitched well in Coors. So he should be somewhat decent. Williams is iffy. He is a vet who could get rocked or have a good season. Judging my his spring...he is gonna have a bad year, but you can't always make decisions on vets because of spring training. I expect Nieve to have a somewhat decent year. Maybe 11 or 13 wins with a 4.50 ERA or so. Then the 5 spot. It looks like it would be Moehler. He has never been a GOOD big league pitcher, but he is a .500 type of guy. So who knows. They could have a terrible year as far as pitching or they could suprise alot of people.

Is Lidge still the closer? Or is he still suffering from that Pujols homerun?

He will start the year as the closer with Wheeler and Qualls there just in case. I heard the other day that they could possibly give Matt Albers a look if Lidge struggles.

Astros-Royals tied 0-0 in bottom of the 5th. Former Astro Brandon Duckworth is on the mound and doing well for the Royals. Chris Burke is the lone offensive bright spot for Houston, 2-2 with a double. Wandy Rodriguez is doing well on the mound, 5.0IP 6H 2SO 0BB. His ERA this spring stands at 3.78 right now.

The Stros are always short on something. For years the pitching has been outstanding,Nolan Ryan,JR Richards,Mike Scott,Roy Oswalt,Mike Hampton,Roger Clemens,Andy Pettite, but the offense was always below average. Now we have a very solid offense and ONE 20 game winning pitcher.

I'm a die hard Astros fan since I was 3,but I just don't see them winning the division, and we'll be lucky to be in the hunt to be quite frank. I hope I'm wrong though.

Yea. He started off great with 2 K's. I think Pujols has ruined his baseball career though.

A corpse batting first, a black hole hitting second, and another offensive zero in the eight hole. It will be interesting to see how much Luke Scott regresses this year. Nice to have Lee in the cleanup spot, but the O looks as rickety as ever.

Wherefore art thou, Brooks Conrad?
