Warriors are destroying the Jazz, 114-83 midway through the 4th.
They'll be tied for 8th in the west after this win and it will also mean they've beaten four of the top five teams in the west during the last month. Making the playoffs will be a big achievement considering all the injuries they've had, but the way this group is playing really has me looking forward to next season. |

Looking at the schedules, they should have a decent shot at finishing 3-1. Which means LA would need to finish 4-2 with a rough schedule.
What is the tiebreaker, H2H? Anyone know who that favors?

At this moment, I think the Warriors have the better H2H record. but they need to win atleast 3 of the next 4 games anyway. The Clippers have still been playing well so they have to keep winning. They're playing a helluva lot better than my Lakers, that's for sure.

Yeah, looks like it's 3-2 W's over the Clips. So we have that going for us. Schedules are pretty even (as far as overall strength). Clips have the Hornets twice, at the Lakers, vs POR, vs SAC and at PHO Warriors have at SAC, vs MIN, vs DAL and at POR the DAL and PHO games basically cancel, both should lose those. The Homes for each against MIN (GSW) and SAC (LAC) cancel GSW at SAC and LAC at LAL is close to even The Portland games virtually cancel, as they are so out of it they are resting guys anyhow. That leaves the 2 surplus games vs NO. NO is still in it, so those won't be easy games for the clips.

Not necessarily. The Mavs would certainly be rooting for the Clips to make it over the W's. To the point where I'm surprised they didn't give the Clips a gimme last night.
The W's have beaten the Mavs 2 out of 2 this season, including a nice 17-point win in March. I think the W's beat them once (possibly twice) last year as well. With Nelson as the W's coach, the Mavs certainly would rather face the Clippers.

I believe the current edition Mavericks would relish putting to the sword the Warriors and sample size concerns. Last edited by darkhorse; 04-10-2007 at 01:07 PM. |

With a Warriors win and a Clippers loss tonight, GS is back in the playoffs for the first time in 12 years...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure last night the Mavs gave the Warriors that one.

Maybe they can get a playoff 1st round upset or something!

While I know it is unlikely, this Warriors squad does have a few things going in their direction. They finished red red hot, and their starting five can flat out score. Dallas will have their hands full.

IMO, just getting there is a big enough achievement for this team. Considering the injury problems they've had, it's pretty amazing, really.
They are running red hot and they did sweep the season series against the Mavs. If I had to choose who they had to go up in the playoffs out of the Mavs, Suns and Spurs, I'd definitely pick the Mavs. |

I'm stunned! They won 16 of their last 21 games and looked good doing it. I don't think it would a stretch to say they could beat Dallas at all. Even with Dirk in their lineup, the Warriors played really good against them. I hope they do well.

Interesting to note that Golden State was 3-0 against Dallas this year...
