And to baseball purists, thats why the NL is a much better brand of baseball. A monkey could manage a AL team.

Why again is it better to watch somebody with no business stepping up to the plate?

That makes it even more shocking that so many fans complain about how their favorite team's manager handles the team. If a monkey could do it, surely all teams could find a competent manager.

Not to disagree with you, but the way Bronson Arroyo got his first two career home runs earlier this season - both against Glendon Rusch - was entertaining.

I tend to agree with this.

9 Players. If you want a good hitting pitcher, go find them (if they exist). How is it fair that one league gets to play 10 guys a day for roughly 140 games (I don't know how many interleague games teams play) while the other league gets to play only 9? The AL teams provide more playing time to more players, which I think is a bit unfair.

However, for this reason, it will never go away.

Baseball is a 25-man game. Sometimes a 40-man game.

John Heydler: a man ahead of his time.

There were not enough choices in this poll. One option implies that both leagues should use the DH; the other, neither.

I think it is fine for one league to have the DH rule.

I've never seen a game with nine men running. Those would be awfully crowded basepaths.

Fewer options doesn't mean less strategy. You should try this game called chess.

Even earlier. There were pushes for a DH in the 19th century.

Those monkey managers sure are winning a lot of world series the last 20 years. Maybe the NL should hire some of those monkeys.
