I like both of these teams a lot. In fact, I like all 4 teams in the AL playoffs this year. Yay!

In '03 my boss let me go home early to watch one of the ALDS games. But being that Tuesday's and Wednesday's games start at 11 a.m. my time, I don't think that will be happening.

Well it's good because I work at an on-campus library, so not a real job, per se. So I think if I go in there and ask to take off/if I can be late, it shouldn't be a problem.

Two of my favorite AL teams. Guess I'll root for (one of) them this year, now that the Astros have been booted from contention.

It makes me absolutely sick that the first three (possibly the only) games of this series are ALL DAY GAMES.

What a complete "Eff You" to the fans of Minnesota and Oakland to not even have one game scheduled for a NORMAL 7:05pm start.

Of course, the Yankees will be on prime time television. I'm sure ESPN is probably getting the first pitch countdown ready.

The extra characters in the title of this thread seem unnecessary.

And they should do what, show a game that will draw less people?

I really don't think Minnesota/Oakland is that unappealing of a matchup. Santana vs. Zito is sexier than Wang vs. Rogers.

I wanna try to make it to game 2 but it's going to be tough. Given that the only remaining tickets are on eBay and they're not cheap.

I'd rather watch Minnesota/Oakland too. However, the Yankees are, in my opinion, a better-selling name than Barry Zito.

I'm tempted to skip work Tuesday morning to watch this game. Tough call, I'd like to skip work all week and watch all the games but the boss wouldn't like it. Stupid work!!!

I'll miss the first half an hour of the game on Tuesday due to class. I'll be able to watch the rest of it though.

I'll have to miss the first part of Tuesday's game because I have Accounting class, and I have a feeling there might be a quiz. Class is from 12:30-1:45 so hopefully we can get out early.

Rogers, Wang, and Johnson are all pretty sexy. :randy:

Yeah. It was me being excited about the Twins winning the division. I'll ask TC to fix it. Sorry .

Oh Gee, I don't know, they could maybe show it during a time that's reasonable for the fans of the teams to watch?

Of course, I'm sure you wouldn't mind at all if your team made the playoffs and then you had the first 2 games starting at 10am local time, right?

The Athletics and Twins are both among my 5 favorite MLB teams.

I wouldn't be happy, but I don't blame ESPN for trying to show the best-drawing games in prime time, if that's what they are doing.

It's the playoffs.

They will always draw well.

Now, they're going to draw a hell of a lot worse than if they had been night games.
