It did. John Smoltz has the final say if he want's to be traded.
Right know the Braves are probley Buyers but if they lose all their rest of their home games before the All-Star break they will become sellers meaning Smoltz,Both Jones,Pratt,Jordan,Thomson,Hudson,Edgar,Adam L.,Giles and anybody else that has a big contract could be traded>
Thurman at 1st Base,Kelly Johnson in LF,Ryan L. in CF and Jeff F. in RF,Wilson B. at 3B,Tony Pena at SS and somebody else at 2B.

The more I think about it, I might be okay with trading Humberto Sanchez and possibly someone else, but I don't think we'd get much for him.

The Braves don't have the money to go out and get somebody. To be Buyers they would have to give up a big contract to get one in return.

The camera went back to Phillips and after a two second delay, his response was "I'm not much of a stats guy".

I don't mean trading Humberto for Smoltz, that be dumb.

But if we could get something of value for him, I think I might be okay with doing it.

And the Tigers need another pitcher why?

If anything, the Tigs need a left handed power hitter. Smoltz would add a veteran presence to the team, but the way the Tigers' staff is pitching, what would he add. AND Mike Maroth should be back in a few weeks to take over if one of the young pups does flame out.

Who's up for a 6 man rotation? That will keep some arms fresh.

Don't worry. I don't see Smoltz going anywhere this year.
