There is still God/Commish mode, you can move around freely there. Getting fired wouldn't be a possibility in that case, though.

Bingo. The commish can take any job he wants.

Because you are just a lowly manager,(pun intended) not the GM of the team. He will decide if you get moved to another job, not you. If you are the "A" Ball manager and the "AA" manager gets fired, you can't apply for the "AA" job, at least not to my knowledge. The GM may look at you when he's considering who to fill the position with, but that will be his decision. It may even be above the GM's head, like maybe the President. Odds are though that the GM will have some say in the matter.

right, so the lack of this feature ensures(essentially)that no one can be promoted through an orginization to the top.

Tell you what, you wait until this is added in a patch to d'load your version and it will be just like the game is delayed. I, on the other hand, will d'load mine on May 31st. We both win.

Can you jump in and out of the commish mode. For instance, out of commish mode to become GM of the phillies... then into commish mode at some time to edit, etc, then back out to resume your phillies GM role? If I recall OOTP6. once you entered manager Mode you were essentially stuck there with virtually no more edit abilities.

Sort of. If I recall, someone wrote a hack to let you edit your league in Manager Mode without disturbing things. But that would be an unofficial solution.

Yes, I want this feature but I want the game to come out next Wednesday with this feature or without it.

Can the commish invent jobs for himself as well? I'd love to have a fully functioning "Selig mode" available, where I can routinely create "crack committees" whose findings are nothing more than self-fulfilling prophecies.
