Try it and see - I wanted something that really captured the feeling of the early days and Madfont does. If that fails then the back up is Daisy ( http://www.1001freefonts.com/fonts/dfonts.htm )

Oh, and everyone: MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SERIF VERSIONS AND NOT THE SANS SERIF ONES.

Mal - thanks for finding those fonts. I like them.

I believe that they would work. Markus could always try them and if they don't appear or fit right in the logo, the site has bunches of other similar fonts he can try.

Here are examples of the logos I created using these fonts. (I tried to create a loosley similar logo to that of the OOTP2006 default)

IMO: I love the Madfont and College fonts. The Card Characters seems a bit too thin

Right, I'm going to give up on my lame attempts to make a logo using those fonts and leave it to the experts!

I've changed my mind about College now that Silvam's made those samplers. I've also realised that I was looking at the san serif version of College, which is nowhere near as good as the serif version.

I agree with Silvam - Madfont and College are good, Card is probably too skinny. It's also maybe a bit too similar to College

One more I picked out as a futuristic font called viper squadron

a tad whimsical, but ok in my opinion

All my samples took was five minutes on Adobe Illustrator to pick the font and colors. (Of course, I already had the basic template for the circular logo)

If anyone would like to see any others I can whip em up pretty quick for ya
