pretty much exactly what I was wondering...with ? #3 being nearly verbatum

I apologize for reading this thread all ass-backwards.

I hope number three is in fact the case. At the moment Team Market is just a catagory with no motive. Any city can be any market and the marekt seems to fluctuate too much. I think teams have too much of an impact on the Market as well, being good increases the market, loosing decreases the Market.

I do hope Markets are improved.

OK. That sounds good, Markus. We still do have the question of how will the A/I construct those contracts with regard to team financials (market size, team revenue, etc.) though. I mean it wouldn't be fair for small revenue teams to be saddled with big contracts the first year so that they'd have to dump players they've drafted at the end of that year. On the other hand, it wouldn't be realistic for small revenue teams to load up on extradordinary talent either.

I'm not sure what the answer should be here. Maybe do what Malleus Dei suggested about having the option to have all players assigned a one-year or minor-leauge contract at the start.

Or, maybe it would be better to have contracts assigned before the draft so that human and A/I teams could take contract value into account while drafting so that budgets weren't busted.
