For all you cricket fans, it won't be out on Friday any longer due to the testers finding gameplay bugs.

Did H2H make the initial version? I could never play cricket without the intense strategy of facing a real-life opponent.

Not big on Cricket in any form (though Twenty20 has its merits), but you gotta admit that “The Ashes” is the coolest series name in sports. No other sport can boast a trophy that’s actually an urn filled with the cremated remains of cricket balls.

Fixed that for ya! It would be even cooler if it had the cremated heart of the first losing captain in it.

Would you settle for Alec Stewart's head on a pike?

Turn Back the Clock

If this is as good as Howzat! was on the Spectrum 64 about 20 years ago, the world of Cricket sims will have taken a giant step forward. Bring back David Gower!

I can't believe nobody's posted the new release date.

After a short delay to fix some small bugs we plan to release a version on March 31st 2006.

This will be a digital download release using the Softwrap technology. Using this technology you download the game, play for a certain amount of time, then if you wish to purchase the game you can 'unlock' your version.

Using this method you're able to get hold of the full version of the game within minutes of first downloading the title.
Looking good for a release this time... (famous last words, maybe? )

What's it mean to get all 10 wickets in an inning?

It's like pitching a perfect game rather than a no-hitter. As an Englishman I've often been struck by the similarities between the folklore of cricket and baseball. Thomas Boswell once wrote that cricket might be a distilled version of baseball....I think that baseball might be a distilled version of cricket but having followed both grand old games for a lifetime Iwouldn't be without either of them!! Or OOTP for that matter.

Update from the site

*Update 13:18* The game will be uploaded before midnight UK time. We apologise for the delay but want to ensure we are completely satisfied with the softwrap configuration.
