I can go with either FanSite.com or RotoWire.com ... both very good services. FanSite is cool in that team owners can upload logos and customize their team pages.

I think we could setup a great league, with a great prize, if enough PMed me and if people were willing to pitch in a bit more than $10. I wouldn't want it more than $25/team though. Perhaps PM how much your willing to contribute. The minimum, assuming no prizes, is $6.90 or $7.40 and 10 teams.

Having said that...he's on my draft board...but significantly lower than past years...been burned too much.

Here are the five I would keep. I tend to always like to have one or two offensive threats. Thus, Beltran and Bonds are who I would keep.

Otherwise, pitching always tends to be a make or break proposition in Fantasy Baseball. Zito I think is poised to be better this year than last year.

I'm kind of high Peavy and the Padres. I think he'll have a good year. I wouldn't mess with Prior, because I think you would be dealing with damaged goods there. Though, as I said, sometimes damaged goods are a risk to take. However, you should take the risk with Bonds over Prior.

As for Bay, I don't know what to think. If you were in it after this year, I would say give him a shot. You could just as easily swap him out for Beltran.

I would go with these five:

Bonds
Beltran or Bay
Zito
Santana
Peavy

1) I think Howard should be up there...given the park he plays in.

2) Beltran will bunce back...but again...the park you play in matters..maybe too high.

3) Jeff kent???-- put a fork in him

4) D Lee-Love him--- but no way he produces last years numbers

5) Alfonso Sorioano-RFK isn't Texas , and his attitude sucks

6) Chase Utley -Monster-should be higher...especially given position scaricity.

7) Jorge Cantu---Maybe best option at 2b given lineup...I'll draft him..

8) Dontrelle Willis-Were is the love?

9) Ben Sheets---If healthy?

10) Josh beckett---Overrated even at #73

Agreed. Howard is the kind of guy you go for in a steal. In a salary-based league, he is the kind of guy you could get for league minimum and than piss everybody off when he is your MVP. That's what happened to me with Bonds. Everybody else ignored him in the draft and he produced for me year after year.

Howard had 22 HRs in 312 ABs and 88 Gs. Those are great numbers. If he can go the full 162 or reasonably close, keeping that pace, you're talking 40+ HRs, maybe 50+.

However, if you don't protect him, do you think you could get him back in the draft. That is always something you need to consider. If he is ranked low, you might be able to get him back. And, if you really want him, you could always use your first round pick for your sixth keeper. You would lose out on some other names, but it just might be worth it.

I think I keep Santana, Zito, Young, Cabrera, and Bay.

I take Zito over Prior because Zito is consistent, coming off a good season and heading into his big payday season while Prior has only pitched over 200 innings once...3 years ago. Not too mention that the A's are projecting to be a very good team will that will undoubtedly help Zito's numbers.
