2) After something like 2 years of hype and anticipation, the game is solid but can't live up to the fantasy-like expectations we've all built up and we initially react unfavorably, although after a month or so of forgetting about our expectations, we realize that it's a solid game;
3) All the changes turn out to just be bells and whistles and we all return to OOTP6.5; or
4) The game is released with a lot of bugs that piss everyone off and it's OOTP6 all over again.

I'd love for 1 to occur, but I have the feeling 2 is the most likely event.
I'm afraid of #4. I'm hoping we don't have a #4. Anything but a number 4!

Anyway, really cool to see OOTP getting so much love. This new version just might signify a step forward for the sports sim genre as a whole crossing over into a bigger audience. I think with even the traditionally arcade games like EA Sports titles offering "dynasty" and "career" modes, lots of folks are taking a liking to managing as much or more than button-mashing. And Markus is right on the cutting edge of the genre. The future of sim games is looking brighter than ever--a far cry from the low point when I learned that there wouldn't be another FPS: BBPro almost 10 years ago...

Good to see it's made the top 25.

I met these guys in September, whilst in the US on a promotional tour for Eastside Hockey Manager!

Admit it...you're saving that for the ITP rewrite.

Well if it blows things away, I would assume it's not a working fusion reactor. Instead, it sounds like one with some problems...
